Hilariously all the initial nerf did was reinforce that behaviour because jump trading in large groups became the only efficient way to trade it. Basically everyone except the actual offenders were punished.

What I really don't understand is why the original pricing wasn't restored after jump trading was de facto deleted. Premium scrap is probably the strongest contender for the ignoble "worst ore" award right now, although meph would probably cry that actually it's H3. Big Grin

I think the dudes in charge of pricing would have an insanely hard time explaining how the current status quo benefits anyone .

Petty much this.

Like all ores, there is zero correlation between distance and profit for Premium Scrap.

And like all ores, this was fixed in August, with amended files being sent multiple times to account for map changes.
It's pretty much pointless to make long threads about this, since the only reason the fixes haven't been implemented is dev unwillingness or indifference.

I remember implementing the Fromage and Sorted Artifacts buff, two different attempts at trying to generate RFP activity. I can't recall about the latter, but regards the Fromage smuggling, I do recall it generating many smugglers, but not much RFP activity at all. There was Impy in his JM ship, taking ss of the illegal goods and posting it in a Comm thread to you guys, but very little to no in game activity on the part of RFP. I seem to recall similar results with Sorted Artifacts too.

How would another buff be any differrent this time, Laura?

Perhaps if Blue Jillies would be also illegal, for example for political reasons, you (RFP) would also have a lot to do, like right now...

First of all, i earn my cash only with P-Scrap. I start to mine p-scrap in Texas and then i fly to Omicron Gamma. Why, cause Junkers are not really accepted in Kusari and you earn more cash in Gamma.

So, i visited Rheinland now like 30 times, and never saw an RFP| Officer.

My route: Texas, Bering, Hamburg, New Berlin, Dresden, O-11, O-41 and Omicron Gamma

Just clarification - I don´t propose buff, I propose return of change which didn´t bring any benefits (at least I never heard about any and so far nobody mentioned them here either), but caused negative effects on some factions.

I definitely disagree with sorted artifacts effect - it was actually reason why we (or me at least) didn´t notice something is wrong with cardamine smuggling. It was definitely great smuggling activity source, there were usually several smugglers practically every time you logged for patrol (well, later some of them started metagame and go around through open space flying through Dresden and Omega-11, which was hard to face without metagaming too, but that´s issue for another thread).

Regarding BMM/cheese buff, it is hard for me to recall (except for disputes about Impy´s screenshots and such), but I wouldn´t say there wasn´t much activity. Though I´m not sure how you evaluate RFP activity. It was always small faction and now with playerbase shrinking, it is getting even smaller. So currently when we are active, that means we fill activity requirements without need to call people to log in last few days of the month. We will hardly ever have several days of activity unless someone really enthusiastic with enough free trade (like I used to be back in the day) join. Problem is that smuggling is one of the main reasons why people join RFP. If there will be little smuggling, there won´t be enough interested people and faction will die (like many others this year). I´m trying to make other changes of course, but I feel this can help us and that´s why I started this debate.

Regarding Impy/JM and screenshot sending - it is issue I considered several times, but so far didn´t come to any reasonable solution which will work and won´t look silly. Like, should I ignore it? But then, I should ignore all screenshots sent to RFP, otherwise people will call we are biased. Is it okay for official lawful factions to ignore everything we were not present at? Because we can´t be everywhere.

I´m all listening for proposals if you have any...

I consider this currently. Though jillies are not transported frequently, so banning them won´t make major difference.

When you don´t see us, doesn´t mean we don´t play. May be different timezone for example. But like I said to Garret, we are small faction and people also play other characters. This thread is one of the things which I try to give us something to do and make us more active. I know we are not active enough, hence this is why I try to do something with it.

Please, lets keep this constructive and without personal flaming wars. Thanks.

Hello, right now we have a buff on it. Lack of backup erased the post in TOSO but the buffs are still around. I can't remember all, just what I really need, Junyo buys Jillies for high prices, NB is same with Pearls (they are like 4,9 and 4,7 cr/sec/slot, dunno which is which though). I'm doing it right now and I see at least 3-4 others doing it as well, so apparently it's quite popular.

Many of them logged off as soon as RFP| ship appeared on the list. Some of them however were caught by RFP|, yeah sure it didn't make a LOT of RFP| activity, but you could see the difference. RFP| was a bit more active back then.
