I'm gonna get cracking on these. First up is the BHG Gunship. Note that the model is actually somewhat larger than the shield bubble in several places near the extremities and the extremely slender hitbox profile. Honestly it rather looks more appropriate to the Arrow than the Gunship.
Third last one is a Kusari Explorer I think. Not entirely sure.
That's just SOME of the awful ones I saw. A lot of them have major problems but weren't obvious while looking at them.
Marauder: When you shoot at it from the front, your shots will pass straight through the wings. Because the hitbox only registers hits just above the wings. The second picture makes it a bit clearer I think.
Slipstream: The majority of the back, and a bit of the nose is missed.
If your dodging, most of the shots will probably be heading towards the biggest part of the ship, but that bit isn't covered.
Kusari Explorer: The HUGE wings aren't covered, they're massive,
If you can't make new hit boxes, at least make ships you design fit to the existing ones. If you asked Yuri I'm sure he'd tell you how to make the custom hit boxes work...
As I said in the start... hitboxes that are shorter than the ship are biggest problem for me.
If you aim for the center of the ship.. evasive maneuvers make most of your shots hit in the back... but if there is no hitbox.. you see them flying trough the model... and that's irritating.
If you aim in front of the ship .. your guns don't track (aim at one spot), so only 1-2 of them will hit if the ship is really narrow.
Catamaran, Slipstream and Kushan have this problem.
The "can't hit it from the front" problem is obvious for Stinger and Raven Claw.
