No really...I don't get the point...nerfing and all.Just buff the projectile speed of the fighters' guns.

The new improvements to bombers are fine. No need to nerf them, balance them, or whatever.
So they can take out GB's now, that's great! They are still hard to use in fights against fighters, which is what the designers wanted.
I'm glad gunboat missiles are the "only" thing to stop bombers. After hearing so many players cry about how fraking powerful missiles are, they now have to be quiet and accept GB's missiles as a blessing.

They didn't change the weapons on a junker 'Recycler' bomber 'cas it's still considered a "fighter". You don't see me complaining about it, so don't whine about the new changes!:rtfm:

Better idea is to make bombers slower like crusers and make bombers armor 2000 and shield 1000 make SNAC projectile 5 and remove all bomber guns then all fighter pilots will play alone because all players will leave playing

Yeah i will adapt but then some players who cant play will cry again and they will brake bombers more and more and soon all of us will fly with BS and this will brake the fun in game

What I meant was that soon the skills of the players will be nothing.
You'll just grab a fighter or a missile boat and you'll go kill bombers.Like Grimly said,a well flown fighter can kill a bomber easily...it's the skills that should matter...not the ship class.I mean...EMP guns or not,you can't take down a gunboat if you don't know how to do it.I know I sound like a typical PvP whore but think for a second...for the sake of the role play every bomber must die to every fighter without a chance to fight back?That ain't right.Oh,and yes,the attempt to nerf bombers failed.Two hits and poof...your enemy has no shields.

My personal thoughts on bomber balance...

Bombers could have the following hardpoints,

2x heavy torp
1x CD
1x CM
1x Mine

Create a gun which is like an inferno on steriods, but with a much slower projectile, that uses say 2/3rds of a heavy plant to fit on one of those heavy torp slots.

Give all bombers the heavy plant and drop the agility to match.

Drop bots and batts on bombers by increments until three fighters will kill three bombers before they run a battleship out of bots an batts.

Note! There are no guns (fighter guns or the new bomber guns) at all on those bombers. ONLY the torp slots and CD/mine/cm.

To me that seemed like the obvious solution to the problem. Please tell me what faults there are with that.

How do you cope with NPCs? You possibly can not do missions with this setup unless you mine spam. I feel it really leaves the bombers without any good measures to deal with NPCs if you have no weps that do not use ammo.
