My thanks to those of you who realized what my point on the other topic was and apologized. To those of you who haven't gotten off the other one in terms of the Flamefest, I will be sending personal messages to you POLITELY asking you to move over here.
I was thinking about making a post saying that this topic is not mine to control like the other one. Frankly at this point you all who are arguing in circles could turn into monkeys with frying pans and try to beat each other to death for all I care. But I realize that might actually be a step up cause there is a defined end to it.
Use this to discuss all you want. Thats what I made it for.
//on a serious note the monkey thing is a joke. This topic has shed light on a controversial topic. In the end I do hope a middle ground can be found so as to appease as many as possible and make for smooth sailing for new players.//

An indie player, with a known reputation for Role Play, does not abuse his caps, (in fact has had admin involvement in setting up an ID so one of his characters could fly a capship) Knows the rules, contributes to the community, often.....
Refuses to register his capship with a faction.....
Laowai, I can't speak for the TBH/OPG et.al, but let me say you're a good player and excellent RP'er, one I'd be proud to fly with any day. You are definitely not one of the troublemakers who prompt the kind of action we are having problems with. I'm sure your letter & refusal will be taken in the spirit it is intended, i.e. part of great RP we have come to expect from you.
Nooblet.
I deleted my post. It was not fair. Nor should I have posted it.
I took it off, 5 minutes after posting it. It was an attempt at humor
that went bad. Akum was just stirring things up and not listening to
anyone as you well know.
And you shouldn't have brought that back up dude.
This is twelve hours after I deleted my post - In a different thread.
Now your getting to be just as bad as Akum. Stop it.

huh? you are here, which makes me assume you are interested in role play. thats 75% of the way there, all you gotta do now is front up, with a bit of a story.
If your backround is ok, and your actions ingame go along with what you are role playing, I doubt any faction will have an issue. (bar RM)

Doesn't stop Akumabito feeling the hate. I can't be everywhere at once, and believe me if I had seen that crap at the time I definitely would have posted. I didn't read the dates either.
If I'm getting to be as bad as Akumabito, and you seriously feel that way, hold back on any poems you want to post about me.
Did you seriously hate him that much?
Edited and adding to: It's in the same thread and what you said was also quoted in post 29.
Edit:

My background=anti-faction-registration policy. Probably not okay with factions.
I don't think the factions will have a grudge against you and refuse to register your ship (if you applied for registration). That's not really in-character, and it's letting personal matters get in the way of roleplay.

Do what Laowai did, on a seperate level.
He basically rejected the registration process, in role play, which showed his capabilities probably better then registering would have done.
Write up a bit about why your character rejects it, what the history is there, etc.
You may not be trusted after, but it will offer some unique opportunities to role play. Perhaps you can talk your way around it ingame, If we understand your reasoning, we may see fit to leave you to your business.
