I just want to raise a point I saw in brief earlier on it's only just popped into my mind which is why i rasie it now.

Either n00blet or Akumabito mention the words "faction leaders and their puppets" I'd like to ask faction leaders how the lead their factions, because I know for a fact if I tried to demand my Rogues follow my orders without discussion outside the game, they'd lynch me. They joined my faction. They ahve accepted my way of leading, but should they not have accepted it I would have had to alter my style of leadership in order to maintain control of my faction. In othe words my faction members allow me to lead them. They hold the keys to my "power" not I. If anny puppets are involved in my faction then it is I. I wonder if this si the same with most other factions, seeing as members choose to join and then choose to play how would any faction survive if they tried to impose a military like rule on their faction outside of the game environment...

Quite sure it wasn't me.

There is no discussion with independents. It's do what I say or die. As you said, those that joined your clan have accepted your leadership. What about those that don't? Ever wonder why there are independents?

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

If you join a military, you follow their leadership or get shot/court martialed/put in brig/etc. Only mental illness or treason can excuse you from that.

In any case, that just sounds like trial-by-forum on a large scale.

Ok, ok...one last.

I do like the distinction of the types of governments. They would be different.

But in Rheineland's case, a referendum vote would simply be the equivalent of a coupe. In Liberty the outcome of a vote...etc., etc.

It's not a trial by forum. You can have server "citizenship" requirements:

Registry on the forum, perhaps even sponsored by at least two other players--things like that before you could vote.

The rebuttal to the "trial" is dictatorship.

Unbiased ears that hear that sound?

Well, your ideas are interesting, Tinkerbell. But it's been tried before and rejected, or at least ideas like it. But, it is interesting.

Hehe...those eyes..they...force me...to return.

Tried? Rejected? Did everyone VOTE on it? (I bet not)

Trying isn't getting together a few clan leaders and saying, "Hmmm...nah!"

I'm really going to play now...do not taunt me again!

It was more in the form of a player panel for approval of capital ships.. I think it got rejected.

Sucked back into the Vortex...

"Try? There is no try! Do, or not. That is all."

I say we DO it. Not try. Have an open vote on it--not a "panel". Let admins have the final call.

Since when do we vote Military personnel? aren't they choose by the head of the government?

As far as I know, No one has ever Voted Rick Hillier to become general(Canadian Forces).

As far as i know, when you join the army, you cannot choose who will be your superior. It may be an (censored) as it may be a nice guy. However, You must always obey to him, or you'll be punished by these superiors, or humiliated.

Although, people here are all nice people, Aidan(SA/LN), Brian(LSF) and Zachary(LPI) are all nice fella, and they respect you. In RP you may show a total respect to them but in RL, you could speak about odd things in skype chats *looks at chat with Aidan, Terrance and Brian:P*
