Ah, the sound of someone who thinks he is better than everyone else since he is in a faction.
You still haven't shown any reason factions need to control who gets what ships, other that, how did Unselie put it?
Quote:that, as Xoria explained somewhere else, means we can walk all over the less organized or smaller groups of people who disagree with us on the server.
Ah yes, the big bad faction guys, so much better than us lowly indies, like eppy with his ninja Jesus, protecting us from his parents who he is sponging off of at home, but here he gets to kick people around! Here he is somebody! Hurrah for him!
So whats your story dusty? Who you getting even with when you "walk all over the less organized or smaller groups of people who disagree with us on the server."?
Back to the main point, the only reason there is a faction approved middle on that list is to make the factions feel bigger than they are, bigger than they deserve to be. And that's just wrong no matter how you slice it.
So, now that you faction boys have finished your little playtime, any of you actually have a reason why your powergrab is better than a nice simple "This ID allows these ships" list where you don't get to boss the indies around?
Other than such a list can't stroke your egos that is?

Timothy McDanials.
He stole my ice cream in the fourth grade and I've hated indies ever since.
But, to get back on topic: Lulz.

Actually, Igiss thought ahead for you and put which ships each ID allows right on its info card! Fighters, Transports and etc! Handy eh? Following that just feel free to ensure that you follow server rules dictating ship use!
Quote:6.1 Every player must have an ID equipped on his or her ship. Players under level 40 might use Civilian IDs (basic IDs sold on every station), characters who reach level 40 must choose an NPC faction to ally and get the ID of this faction, or get a generic ID.
6.2 Out of Roleplay (OORP):
In-game tag seen before the name must match the ID as closely as possible. It is not allowed to have the tag not match ID category. For example, it is prohibited to have 'Police' tag and 'Pirate' ID.
Equipment used must match tag and ID as closely as possible. For example, it is not allowed for Corsairs to use Outcast ships and guns.
If you're still confused as to what that means, Mjolner is currently making an outstanding list with some guidelines that should really help you out!

I already have a list, and it's much bigger than yours. Oh, I made a funny.
Anybody care to join me? Sorry, boys, I'm afraid it's a Faction-only roast, the rest of you will have to go play with The Pit-Bull of Illogic as we enjoy ourselves with the Flames of Realism over here; we've got the Marshmallows of Inevitability, the Graham Crackers of Backed-Up Threats and the Chocolate of Free Reign too, so we've got Awesome S'mores coming up here in a minute....
