Darkseid667 has actively demilitarized the 2 weapon platforms that I built before the pushback of Gallia- turned out that building 2 storage compartments instead was a mistake.

Imagine if they had done the "Bret takes Gran Can" story but Goldern Coin still area denied the O-49 hole in Dublin.

I think the hole in Poole was used for the Bret Takes Gran Canaria storyline.

It was fairly low effort story telling however so I dont really remember.

As I recall, that was a mandate of Breonia to remove them, was it not?

I agree, four defence platforms would have worked, but not being a POB owner I wouldn't really know if that would still be effective.

Me realising that this thread is in flood instead of just having a better title and being in a better section:

The balance is off, definitely, and needs revising, as it always has.

Great points have been made though - build harder, and build safer. How many bases around Manhattan have been sieged by unlawfuls? Make use of the environment. Like the Goldern Coin's minefield, even.

PoBs are an endgame and a money sink and they come with risk. Try to separate getting OORP upset about in-game actions. Even in-game actions with OORP motivations, while not good and proper, are something you'll have to accept and deal with. It happens. Be above it.

Also, ask yourself:
  • What should it take for a base to be maintained?
  • What should it take for a base to be destroyed?
  • What should it take for a base to be defended?
  • Am I biased in my consideration of how much risk there should be, and how much effort there should be from either side?

No, they have been approved of by the police.

It was just bad luck that he miscalculated the mischief of the remnant Gauls.

For a base to be destroyed, it has to exist (see: defensemode 1 ore field POBs)
For a base to be maintained, it has to have some mechanical benefit to the owner. (see: Factory POBs)
For a base to be defended, it has to mechanically benefit other players. (see: Ore sale POBs right on top of a planet buying a different Ore)

The mechanical benefit BMM-Goldgeist offers is Gold Ore, cheap and fast. Unfortunately, so long as Canary Wharf and Isle of Skye exist and aren't charging extortionate rates for Gold Ore, its mechanical benefit loses its luster.

Also, Champ, Park Avenue Station #RIP.

*shakes fist*

This thread hasn't been derailed or become entirely devoid of meaning yet so I'm going to save it from drowning before it's too late.

Moved to RP Discussions. Consider re-titling the OP.

BMM-Goldgeist BMM 87.1374%

It looks good still though. Enclave were wiped when they tried it yesterday I think. Weekend will likely see some attempts.

I would recommend stocking it up on FOW, fuel and weapon platforms. I will even help and encourage others to do so if you want to make an effort.
