Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I fired my Liberty cruiser's foward gun which hit its target.

It was disappointing, The shot simply dissappears into the enemies hull.

What I would really like is some kind of blast effect when it hits its target, it would be really cool.

Oh and the battle razors should get the same treatment

I like the supernova effect as it is if explosions could be added to the hit though it would be nice.

Tenacity caught a good screenshot before of myself firing one which I thought was pretty cool if you look at the top top left you can see it and the smoke trail (was directly on target by the way). It's near enough directly above the jump hole.

I won't repost it here as it would spam the thread up but anyone curious the link is here.

I would like the effect, yes, but without ANY AoE damage at all.
Just effect.

If that blast would make some damage, SN would become uber and totally different.

No explosion-range, this would be too extreme.
But there will be just an effect.

tbh I imagine it to only be a small amount of antimatter, the visual effect would be the stuff holding the antimatter into a ball, otherwise how the hell does a bomber create a gigantic ball of antimatter? I'd imagine it to be a tiny amount of antimatter

Read the whole post instead of quoting one part of it.
Quote:In smaller-scale annihilation a flash of light is usually the product of the annihilation, but in bigger annihilations, like a big Supernova shot hitting a battleship, other forms of radiation are preferred, usually invisible to the human eye.

@original thread
I don't like the nukemine explosion, it's already used in the Nova torp, and I think it's a bit ugly.. the other two look awesome though. Where's that animation from?
Also, who's working on the faction-specific supernova? Seems kinda important to get that project merged with this one.

Small idea, is there any way to have a gigantic del Cid flash of light appear when you hit a target? Someone fires a supernova at a battleship, and theres a big flash?

Well, I think it would only make sense that a ball the size of ten people ( basing size off of the projectile and pilot within the ships) maybe 15 ft long by 6 ft high, and just for fun say 4 ft wide... that adds up to a nice 360 ft cubed of volume. That's ALOT of room to store so little antimatter. I think they'd be resourceful enough to utilize that space.

-Edit- Alright, I changed my mind about the diagram. I just don't have enough willpower at the moment.:P
