One of the server hints in green text humbly suggests to help new players if they're seen making obvious mistakes; it's right in the essence of it - people are prone to making mistakes, it applies not solely to "new players".

There could be a civil three-way communication between the staff, the PoB owners and BretGov yet we have... this, with nobody left quite content with the outcome, and the situation is bound to deteriorate further.

P.S. Please point out to at least a nod that requires House Govs to maintain their laws in a certain fashion. I used to be part of RheinGov for a while, entire civil war with amendment to the laws happened during that period and it's the first time I hear of it. Some transparency on the subject could be handy too.

Yes, there can always be civil discussion about anything that would otherwise devolve into being a heated argument. People in Discovery are often quite averse to this concept however, and expecting the staff to somehow be available to mediate every situation where this occurs while also being understaffed and occupied with the technical side of the game, let alone the social debacle - is a little too convenient.

And for insight into what the established norm is in this regard, you can refer to other House laws and their dedicated articles for modular installations.

No, I don't expect the staff to be there to mediate each and every meager conflict and issue that's present there. There's real life, whole lot of other staff affairs that need attention. But this here is a unique precedent that, from what I can judge, have caused quite a resonance in a large part of the community and is already entailing certain consequences that I, throughout my almost five years on Discovery was not eyewitness to. So, it's somewhat unique and laster for long enough for a civil discussion to actually happen. Not like it required 24/7 monitoring and attention as opinions could be voiced as general consensus and when the free time is present.

No point in going in loops about it though, as damage's already been done and it won't get any better.

As for the "established norm" - I'll quote you:

Emphasis on "required". Doesn't that imply some sort of written rule in place, or any other regulation from the side of the staff that all governments are aware of, and not a simple nod to "refer to other House laws and see how they do it"? I might be confusing things here, but I genuinely want to understand.

Every House is required to host all their regulations in their respective legal codex that then becomes part of the house roleplay rules thread. It is established protocol that when the Houses decide to amend these laws that they must apply for a change request. And when something is an established practice, you follow what has been followed, with or without an explicit command on the matter. There was no reason for Bretonia to presume it could deviate from an established way of handling what is otherwise a part and parcel of House laws, and if there was a doubt regarding feasibility then I'm failing to find any record of someone approaching us with a query.

Lawful ID allows to enforce house laws. House laws are located in locked thread that must go through player request to be implemented. So to enforce laws they must be maintained. You can't think of new laws, edit them in some distant thread and enforce them.

As of now, they should be licensed in accordance with Bretonia law until their license is expired. You wanting to do what you want to do regardless of admin decision or popularity is why the community is raining down on you right now. You are creative, innovative, and you think outside the box. Don't let your ambition and ego get in the way of your potential. Be better than that.

In the meantime, indie Bret fleet anyone?

After a long discussion, we have seen fit to restore the PoBs of two bases of;

Old Trafford
Planet Leeds Search and Rescue

Due to unjust destruction of the bases, since the demands were meet and the Modular bases laws were amended after the fact they were destroyed.

In regards to this, Bretonia Government will require to have their Modular base laws in their law thread in the communication channel as per the rest. and will require a request to have them amended. You may still keep the copy in your modular base thread.

Justice!

It ain't about what you are capable of, it's about what you're willing to do.

Apparently this needs a bump. This is the Bretonian Government Feedback thread. Stay on topic.

As I could not find a Feedback Chanel for BRETGOV I do it here. Are you sure you want to Ban Pharmaceuticals? I mean Chambridge Research Center is the Cheapest Producer of Pharmaceuticals in the Game. Interestingly, Bretonia Shoots its own Industry in the Head and Banns Headache Medicaments.
