The level 1 slots are MEANT to be useless. Those are turrets that needed to be removed. So they were given useless slots so the server wouldn't crash when people logged on with the ship and crash the server. The turret numbers of battleships were evened out a bit to make BSs more even.
About fighter turrets on a capship (again) mount 6 Tizona turrets on anything and then something little of the hullbreakers, low energy consumption, say 4 nomads and 2 light mortars. I'll give you 50 seconds to destroy a Battlestar 2. You'll be quicker, I bet.
It really unbalances things. I don't recommend PvPing with that, you'll be having half the server hunting you in no time. I'm using it to depict the situation.
The class 1 turrets were put there intentionally not to do much damage as I understood Igiss, because people were saying it's too unballanced having a (for example) RH Battleship with 22 turrets ravaging everything in the vicinity. Something like that...
Anyway, if it could be done and be ballanced, I like your idea.

Moving on. I have a bug, or some major inconvenience....
My Spyglass can be disrupted with a wasp. Any CD fired from behind disrupts cruise for this ship. Since the only way to counter this, other than changing the ship design as far as I know, is to add a CM mount on this ship.
1) the britonian BS infocard says it has 12 turrets, it actually has 14.
2)The corsairs are, according to the scans I've done, using class 7 pulse weps, it still only needs 4 of them to start draining a BS shield.
After 6 start pounding on a BS shield it drains nearly as fast as being hit with a BS inferno turret.
3) I've been flying the viper and I think that because it's got alot of firepower and agility it could probably lose the turret without it affecting it that much, if at all.
4) Tripoli is mis-spelt on the info card when you hit F9.
5) is there anyway to stop the NPCs flying through the asteroids? Mostly cos is annoying to be chasing one and have it fly through something you can't.
6) the sidewinder missile launcher still comes up as a torpedo launcher on the infocards.
I was wondering if we could change up some of the bs turrets, like say you buy a basic turret in rheinland make it have slower projectile speed but greater damage and different color than say one in Kusari. And while I'm on that subject can we have some new bs weapons? Cause after a while it gets boring and there's no variety with the ships.
Plus standard turrets need to do more damage, also there's some probs with the missile turrets. They don't do damage to other cap ships, though for of them are equal strength with a light mortar.
I don't know if this is a bug or not:
Some systems have no map when you open your Navmap, you get the message -No Navmap available-. I think Omicron Major and the 2 unknowns are some of them.
