In the albatross frigate, the stern's port turret is mounted upside down. The turret upper part is pointed to the inside of the ship. So you see the turret base from outside the ship. It still works fine, but its a weird sight...
I think the engineers who mounted that turret on the spacedock drank too much that night :P

The system w// the luxury liner hawii, the gas miner's are dockable, but when you dock, the menu comes up but there's no graphics and when u try to leave it crashes Freelancer.

Hey this is a great mod but there are 2 things i would like to see in a future release

1) Random missions and are not fighting oriented. for example escort freighter from a to b or bring this cargo to this station

2) The ability to hire wingmen from the bars

These things were in the game Escape Velocity which was the mother of all space sims games and they would be great in freelancer

We have been thinking of adding the Wingman mod to Discovery, but no official decision yet. I also think it was said that escort missions were impossible to create. Remember people, not everything is possible to add in.

Also, Biohazard, those stations were never meant to be docked with. Your not supposed to be in them, so the game gets confused when you try to leave and crashes.

the mission types are hardcoded,
the only real thing you can impliment thats intresting is Anti-Battleship

Gunboat stuff:

Gunboat shield capacity decrease from 170,000 to 150,000

Very slight maneuvering decrease

Gunboat basic turrets energy consumption decrease from 5000 to 4000

Rheinland GB FWD. gun slightly increased firing arc

Armored Transport engines used instead of LI Cruiser engines on LIB GB- Reason: LI Cruiser Engines Too big, look kinda silly.

Liberty Gunboat NB/SB capacity reduced from 425 to 350

Liberty gunboat Cargo hold reduced from 400 to 325 - Reason: Liberty Gunboat is very small so would not have large cargo hold

Issue with Liberty Gunboat weapons firing through the ship needs fixed - Will provide Screenshot

Gunboats still need a faster-firing turret, like refire 4.00.

An idea I took from the "Is Polaris dead?" thread... I didn't post it there because it would be a shameless hijack.

Would it be possible to fly some kind of weapons platform? You could even get different levels of it, say small ones would be the least expensive, but they would have the least armor and weakest weapons as well (Weapons are locked, people can't slap on a whole bunch of things that the real weapons platforms don't have. Like pulse cannons), mostly being an anti-fighter platform. Medium would be a step up in everything and be a better anti-fighter platform, and large or heavy WPs would have the most armor, weapon ratings, number of turrets, excell at fighter defense and have some anti-capship ability, but would cost as much as a cruiser, if not more.
Each WP would be very slow, have horrible turning, and power supplies with high regen, but a low capacity. Example, say your SWP (Small Weapons Platform) has 8.33 refire turrets. You could fire all of them for, say, 3 seconds, after which your energy is spent. Wait a second, and it's back up to full. This also demonstrates why the weapons would have to be locked on, and no-one can change 'em. That would simplify things a lot when it comes to power.

Liberty rogue gunboat:-

1) Cruise disrupter mount is on the right side of the middle, it also appears to be mounted onto nothing.

2) It can't mount britonian or corsair gunboat turrets because they make it look like it's covered in blisters.

3) Also rhienland and liberty turrets look ok, but seem to be too big as well.

On other thing I've found is that the name of the BS in omega 15 (schwerin) is mis-spelt.

I really like this idea, ALOT. They should have a 15 Second cruise charge time aswell, so they can move, but it takes awhile to get up... and a maximum impulse speed of 20ms (so the turning could stay decent for when in cruise, but still not "good" or even "moderate".


All together though excellent idea and balancing ideas. I love it.

Took my bounty hunter bs through the Hamburg to new berlin gate. just before i came out, my comp was reset, and when i logged back onto the server my ship was in the bottum left corner of the new berlin system.
