I think this is an excellent idea & much needed in Bretonia. Well done Deiter for taking on this challange & I wish you the very best.
' Wrote:I can say from my experience that Bretonia would have fallen were it not for the fine indy ships holding the line when all seemed lost. I'd hope to see this co operation acknowledged and these ties strengthened.
I also agree with Athenian that the indies have held it all togeather (almost as an unspoken faction) & however you work this, try & be inclusive as they are in part the reason you have a platform to play navy boys. I have seen the indies increasingly working as a team and I hope a working compromise can be made for the benefit of all Bretonia.
Good luck
[edit - just seen your post promising to work with all :)]
[edit - just read where this thread is heading :(]

And it looks like I've missed a lot!!
And a break out is in order here as well. Brinkley has been missed around Bret space.
Firstly , congrats , Stoat , didn't realise the reason you'd been MIA .
As for Brinkley , I was there ( as Kal'ika ) the day he was captured attempting to retrieve intel , I would be very keen to be involved in his rescue ! I feel I owe him ... :$

I am in RM, but have never been a big policy-maker there. So please don't conclude there will be a problem with your indie HMS Churchill. I don't have a problem.
Look a few posts back. I welcome indies, as does MarvinCZ.
Please don't bring a debate to this thread about a problem that doesn't exist.
BAF players will co-operate with BAF players. OK?
I just remember this post:
' Wrote:Yeah, but the indies may not know that.
And, what Jinx is saying makes sense. Not ALL indies in caps are bad. Just most of them.
I think the way to approach this is to adopt a strategy to very strongly steer players to existing offical factions. Some stick, but mostly carrot.
I don't think most indies in caps are bad, nor do I particularly see the need for any stick at all to steer someone into a faction if their choice was not to be in one.

Take your agenda elsewhere, and kindly shove it. Quite parading it in EVERY SINGLE THREAD where independent capships are mentioned.
This thread is about the BAF's reorganisaton. Get with the programme.

If BAF is reorganized to be indie unfriendly then that's not a program I am "getting with".
Dieter is a vice admiral in the most indie unfriendly faction on the server, and by his own admission thinks most indies in cap ships are bad, and thinks a stick is appropriate on some occasions to drive an indie into a faction.
I would say that's legitimate cause for comment by an indie Bretonian cap ship skipper.

Well, for one, you're twisting his words. He said 'mostly carrot', didn't he?
As for indy unfriendly, they have worked well with indies in the past, as Athenian brought up. Just not with you, my narcissistic friend.
Now, even if this was the case, which it isn't, it has nothing to do with you, so beat it out of this thread and quit annoying us.
Akumabito: You really like making problems where there are none, right? Nobody even mentioned a change in policy, so quit derailing the thread. We all know you have a personal agenda, and that you hate a lot of people who run "factions" here, so stop trying to force people to sympathise with you, cause nobody is doing anything to you.
Besides, since when are you spokesperson for the "indies" anyways?

If I wait until there is a change in policy it's too late. Yes, I have an agenda, it's called fair to Indies.
And I am a spokesperson for myself.
Now, back to the point, Dieter seems, by his statements, anti Indie, and that's a concern. I'm sure when the RM started it started much the same way, and probably worked with indies at first. I would hate to see Bretonia follow.
