As for loans, perhaps it would be done on credit? Registering with the banking system first as we do a slight background check? For example Jihad Joe might be allowed to borrow upmost of 500,000,000 from us - Whilst noobman139 would be probably allotted only a few million.

I've always had a thing for managing complicated stuff. Anyone want to support me for creating a bank?

Go for it if you wish. There was a craze or fad about 6 months ago on insurance and banking options. Thay all pretty much fell flat.

I had the opportunity to talk with a fella whom ran a bank. I asked him what happen. He replied, those people who borrowed from the bank did not repay their debts. It is not a question if people will trust you as the bank. The actaull problem is the players repaying their loans, which they won't. This has been done several times and have collapsed.

Due to players ability to change names and exchange ships and what not, the bank can not hold any collateral or claim ownership to a craft. See really as a bank you are ineffective. If a player decides not to pay you back, there is pretty much nothing you can do about it. Now, someone will more than likely state, "Get the admins involved." Its been asked and their replies in the past have been "no".

Its a great idea, but leave the bank for the real world and have fun with your credits.

If you are really dead set on doing it for the value of rp, go for it, just be prepaired for financial credit losses.
