I'm not a massive fan of them either, they're too weak to be useful against big ships, and too difficult to aim with against fighters. At least the option of changing them out again for something else like missiles turrets would be nice, I've been cursing ever since they got locked down. Is that still necessary now that weapon classes have been re-thought?

On that subject, where are the Bretonian Gunboat Missile Turrets sold now? I can only find the Rhineland ones which are somewhat weaker (and not Bretonian :0P).

Not sure on the bret turrets...

Suggested Change: Solaris Turrets
I suggest the Solaris Chaingun turrets "Projectile Speed" be upped from 800 to 900ms. As of now it has an EXTREMELY hard time tracking NPC fighters and would love to see an extra boost of 100p/s

I suggest we remove ALL the chainguns, till we have the lag situation sorted out ... And
close the missions board to stop people going, "Oh well its only me, and I'll only do one."
Yeah right ... Its pretty much unplayable right now ...

I agree on the mission boards. It's to the point where I am tempted to log on 10 characters on one PC and log them all into the mission boards so noone can get them.

Hoodlum, i don't know how many times this has been said by myself and Igiss..

the chainguns are no longer the cause of lag. They havne't been for awhile.

The lag is primarily cuased by what appears to be buggy job boards. Specific locations seem to cause lag, while others don't.

I know two locations that work fine (isis and Omicron Alpha) but i can't be for sure.

As no-one can use solaris chain guns on any fighters (and due to the fact that gunboats and the liberty cruiser can't unmount their forward guns to use them), I'd suggest turning the solaris gun into a mk 2 version of the solaris turret.

It's have the same stats as the gun currently has, just switch it to a turret.

Possibly for BS's only with the current solaris turret re-classified as a cruiser turret.

Theres not much point in mounting solaris turrets on a gunboat because they drain the power faster then the gunboat infernos and battlerazors do.

An the subject of turrets, is their going to be a version of the nomad one for cruisers?

At the minute theres a gunboat and a BS version, as theres now a nomad cruiser it seems to make sense to have a cruiser version.

And while we're on the noamd cruiser... could we have a few nomad cruiser patrols?

I'd like to see more myself, especially in heavy infested areas.

Now, as for the Omicron Major (Inner and outter sphere areas), why do the nomads *NOT* drop brains? That sucks.

For some reason the Omicron Majors use the original nomads from the storyline. :(

As for capital ships... N omad cruisers on patrol would ROCK.

I would also love to see ALOT MORE pirate capital ships.. especially around their homeworlds. (Crete & Malta)

EDIT:
Reason for more pirate capital ships is as a bounty hunter, It's completely out of RP for me to attack house fleets so I don't have that option to make money. Second, as it stands now I can only find Osiris battleships in Delta, and my only other option from those is nomads which get kinda boring. Especially since a nomad superior brain isn't worth as much as a fleet admiral. :(
