Must i note, all these hullbasher weapons (razors and mortairs) are powerful no doubth. But its when you have energy. In any case you will run out of energy only by firing both cruiser or destroyer turrets. If you have razors, then yes, its a good way to deal quick damage in short while, but what if you miss? 1/4th of your power is gone and while constantly firing, it wont regen as fast. So stick with the turrets only loadout.

As for energy effic. The cruiser turrets reload faster though are weaker, but if you multiply the shots per second and the damage, they are still more powerful than the destroyer turrets. Not to mention, oddly, more energy efficient.

Firing 10 destroyer turrets keeps your energy at a "stalemate", no energy is lost, but none is restored.

I find my loadout to be effective, and I've never missed a mortar shot against a cap, but some may not like it. Missiles are pretty useless in my opinion, as they are very easy to dodge when mounted on anything bigger than GBs. With a good aim, you'll do more damage with guns than missiles, and since the vanilla missile weakness is getting nerfed, it makes regular gun turrets even better. Plus, mortaring bombers that get too close is fun:)

same as gunboat;)

2 missiles, 1 light mortar (razor on GB), 1 inferno, rest - some turrets with high refire.... GBs have solaris, I never had dessie so I dont know which weapons can be compared to sols.

edit: dont you want falcata instead of dissie? There is too much cpas dude too much caaaaps right now ...

The sleek design of the OC destroyer is heard enough to hit, but it might make a balance with all these BHs flying around. Also, you still want that good high class armor too... though that one below gun should be turned into a Mortar, not a Light Mortar though.

Yea, there are way too many OC destroyers...

If you learn to fly a fighter/bomber first, you'll be MUCH better at cap flying anyway.

And Kambei, GB razors are pretty useless... A cerb does higher DPS, faster speed, and faster refire. My ultimate GB loadout: 4 solaris, 1 cerb, 1 missile. Ask the LPI's liberators how long it took me to kill 6 of them:D

the one missile is not for fighters xP tell a friend cap to fire on you and de select him and fire the missile above him. Wath in aye as his turrets decide to focus his fire on the missile, instead of you. Its so easy. I soloed a zoner dessie in my talarca and didnt loose any shield at all, just kept him deselected and fired missiles once and awhile above him

That trick only works against people who stay still and never move.

My gunship is swiss knife.

I am using 1 GB inferno, 1 GB razor, 2 GB secondary turrets and 2 missiles. I can solo in my LH gunship without problems sair toolbox which have much stronger hull, more regens and 8 weapons but I can still solo 2 bombers too. Can you do same?

I can fire both main weapons long enough to kill Gb's shields and than turn inferno off without significant energy loss.

But I'll try your settup too for comparation (but I keep RP so I cant use solarises.)

BlackVertigo: 2 light mortar shots have same power as 1 mortar shot but you save 500k of energy. LM is also lvl 9 gun and can be placed everywhere on dessie.

Hmm... you "keep RP"? Are you implying that I don't?

Anyways, the solarises can be switched out for any basic gun turret, such as Outcast turrets.

And yes, corsair gunboats are relatively easy, as most of the ones I encounter have no clue how to fly them...
And I've beaten two well-flown bombers with that setup, and they had Coladas as well...
Weapon groups are a -must-, the cerb will mess up your aim against bombers unless you turn it off.

EDIT: You can mount regular mortars on destroyers? I thought they were class 10?
