Zoners might work, as long as you don't play like your Harvester roots might suggest. The Zoners allow a lot of crap and violence, but they would never sit pretty with a group as terrorist-like as the Harvesters, or this faction if it goes along those same lines.
Tag, I'd still go with AI, MA, or MI. That's a simple enough issue.
I would have liked them to be less PvP based, and an ID that would allow a more intellectual, rather than kill everything, role might help there.
Why could not the Harvester ID to come simply be changed to a more generalized ID that discounts such violence and allows a broader role? It's worth a shot to go for, I'd think.
MR is not available, I think MA is. Are you actually hostile towards the CR for any particular reason other than the fact that you remind them of Cylons? Any particular reasoning behind your other hostiles?
I don't see any reason whatsoever why you would be hostile, or even unfriendly, with the Zoners. Unless you try to harvest Zoner bases/ships/pilots. I imagine Zoners and Junkers would probably be the friendliest of the NPC factions towards you.
@Orin: Making a Machine ID which is open to a wide variety of machine RP, yet not too open to be easily abusable, would be really, really hard. Impossible, I think. Machines can run the full gamut from protectors of humanity to devourers of humanity, and one ID can't manage that.

I don't think so. Take the Harvey ID, restrict more of the kill anyone ethos, and allow them more leeway in other areas.

I have had a lot of RP experience with =CR=
You should have seen how much of a good show they can put. In my long history of knowing them I've heard volumes of lectures about how they think all AI is evil, they don't have second opinions and they wish to save YOU from US even if we are not a threat.
From what I've seen they are excellent roleplayers and they put a lot of effort in doing their job.

Never said they didn't, just wondering why you were immediately hostile to them. Or Outcasts. Or any of the other hostiles. Outcasts and IMG are deadly enemies, for example, so it would make sense to be slightly friendlier towards them. Not like cardamine is a problem for you.
By the way, I very much do not support a faction-specific ID or ships. Maybe an ID open to any machine character, if it could be written well (though I think other IDs depending on RP might be better), and I really think Jinx's Harvester ships should still be included as AI or remote controlled ships, but not faction-specific.
I currently have two unaffiliated AI floating around....
It looks nice, very much so.
