I sit in NY with my FL ID guy carrying a Fleet Admiral and a Cruiser Commander and I keep telling the LN the same thing every day. "They are me and my co-pilot."
When really they are for the 122nd Order Guard ships if they ever freaking blow up!
Ok, I am now the proud owner of 4.5 positive blocks of the Freelancer rep.
5.5 to go.. Too bad doing BH missions just shaves off a tiny bit off the Zoner rep.
I'll get there eventually, it'll be worth it I think.

Oh, that's actually a good thing. Get you Freelancer rep maxed, blow up a couple BHG depots, and your Zoner rep should be low enough to take a bribe which, if you're lucky, will push your Freelancer back up to max.
Well, I am currently wrince & repeating the mechanism of taking BH missions constantly and with that lowering Zoner rep.
Each mission pushes FL rep a bit, and each Zoner bribe taken as well.
Only problem is, as I said, the length of the process.
I advise to all people getting FL tags to work together in large groups, if I had for example 2 people to help me, I could get my FL tag in a matter of an hour, 1.5 hours maximum.
Anyways, I now have BH tag, so after maxing FL rep, I will just go drop a few missions for each full green faction, then go kill those BHG depots.

Seriously, though, I had my character VERY well established before I decided to become a freelancer, so I carry the Freelancer ID and ... some other IFF. I went through a period of trying to get the IFF, but I've given up on that.
Now I just cruise around, do some trading between oddball ports, occassionally irritate the Corsairs on Crete by visiting them with a load full of food - since I fly an Orca that I acquired completely on my own - and just explore and discover the whole galaxy. That's why I'm looking forward to the 4.85 - more space to discover... :)
Aw yeah. And I found that Freelancer chars are friggin awesome fun.
Anyways, how I did it is:
Went to Freeport 2 in Bering.
Got bribes for BH and Zoners.
Did many missions for BH while ocasionally getting Zoner bribes when the rep got low enough.
Dropped Navy and Police missions.
Got a Xeno bribe to make a lot of green factions white.
Then headed to Omega 56 and killed 3 BH guard hammerheads.
And then I pressed Print Screen.

So since I am here, could you recommend a ship for me?
The specs desirable would be something with nice hull, minimum 8k-ish.
Preferably that not many use it, but it's ok if they do.
Something agile, not slower than viper at least.
I was thinking maybe Virage, but I never saw it. A pic please? Or any other recommendations?

I fly an Eagle, but it's not exact uncommon. Same with the Vipers, Ravens Talon, etc. Maybe the Virage, but I think it has an oversized hitbox. It's like a space plane with these two gun-like rods sticking off the front, if I rememeber correctly.
Yes the Virage has two large stick gun cannon things. which I put two HAMMERFALL guns on it(I think they are called) so it looks like the cannons fire em...I didn't realise how good the loadout was til I shot at a fellow Freelancer haha
