A cylon faction, could it happen?

There was a group a while ago that was essentially doing just that. Melding machine and humans together to get the best of both.
Humans that have the capability of machines, and the control over themselves to be as cold and calculating as they want.

Swift, Sirius Robotics may be interested in this.

That was my idea Linkus actually and Im planning on starting over when 4.85 is released.

But yes, if you integrate it fully into the mysterious holes of freelancer lore id give you my full support.

(but please don't use planet Gammu... i know we don't own it but its very special to us.)

Edit: we RP as if we took control over it. The FTGW merged with the robotic entities there and
became each individual machine at once.

It would be very weird to have other robot factions to exsist there, since FTGW would most likely
take over their controls and ect..



Otherwise, id gladly see some effort put into a new faction. It being an import can be "dodged"
by fully integrating it an giving it a different name

cylons are cool... I am working on marauder replacement to make it FLish but still with fealing "hell I am flying in raider hoooohooooo"

but dont import here BSG cylons with everything.... what about Gamu homies. Robots with own will and same goal like cylons but with origin in sirius:)

Right now it's kind of on hold, doubt anything will happen for a while, we were thinking about a Sirius robotics angle, no decisions have been made yet. If anyone is interested in it let me know and you can have a more active role in the discussion. Keep the feedback coming though.

it is same case like restriction of drinking alcohol in public in US:)everything is allright if you put your bottle into paper bag;)

It can be same with cylons... just put them into paperbag:)

paper bag is: name them different than "cylons" and put their origin from milky way into sirius. They still be cylons in your mind but for everybody else they will be angry robots from gamu.
