...And I use it to play Freelancer? I need to buy some new games methinks.

come why u worry about your computer performance...FL can be run by most modern cell phones...let alone our computers...
but all jokes aside, i mentioned in one thread before that we made many optimizations in ways how game handles models and texture of the ships (at least AoM, Treewyrm and me care great deal on that - Jinx is also learning), our coders found a ways of optimizing codes and all files so they run more smoothly on all computers.
Despite all new added stuff mod size is still below 100mb. So like Jinx said...if u can run game now, you will surely be able to run it when new mod is released. Further optimizations will be possible to implement once that public beta is released and when we get feedback from general public.
Just note that mod isn't developed on high end computers and that most of us have average old and capable computers not very different of yours.
I for one have now ancient single core AMD 64 bit Athlon, with GF7900 256 MB, 3 hard drives with about 500 Gb in total and all that is connected to some average mother board from those times. With that i can run this game in 1280x1024 with 8x AA, and all kinds of other improvements made directly in the Gcard drivers....and its not even a challenge...
So GF MX 440 with 64 or 128 MB of ram is capable of pushing this game with very decent frame rate (440 was one of my old GCards...and one of my favorites)

Er, you mean 1,000GB, or 1,000,000MB
:P
Though technically, it's 8*1024*1024*1024=8,589,934,592 bytes

Gah! typo.
You're right though.

Here's my new machine:
Intel DG45ID Motherboard (Yay, PCI-e 2.0)
Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2.50 GHz (Hey, look, we match!)
2GB Kingston RAM (Yeah, you got me here.)
PNY GeForce GTX 285 1GB (Spent a good portion of my tax refund on this one.)
WD 320GB HD (Yeah, I didn't see the need for anything bigger)
So, yeah, I don't think I'll need to worry either.
Then again, I played Vanilla on a 350 PII with 256MB RAM and an 8MB Rage Pro Turbo built in. Granted, all settings were at minimum and I didn't do much online with it, but it played.
Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 with 1.66 GHz
Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 with 256 MB RAM
2048 MB RAM
100 GB Hard Drive
it is not an "High End" Machine but it is all good for Freelancer:D
ohh (i has an new idea:D) and how about some stats of your first computer you ever bought ?
well i am starting:
Intel Pentium 1 with (hold on you wont believe it ehhm) 90 MGHz
an unknown Graphic Card with 2 MB Ram:D
1GB Hard Drive aaaaannnnnnd 8 MB RAM ohh and yes i upgraded it to 16 MB xD and now for the price of this Product : 2000 $
33mb processor
50mb RAM
No video or graphics card...
And I was able to slam windows ME on the sucker...
I can beat that. My first computer had:
7MHz processor
512 KB (yes, kilobytes) of RAM
No Graphics card
No hard drive
Onboard sound upto 8bit, 28kHz
AmigaOS 1.2
Yep, it was an Amiga 500. I used to play 'Defender of the Crown' on it. No such thing as 'Windows' back then. Ah, those were the days...
