Otherwise, just come up with a little thing to help figure out the difference. If you're color blind, what color do you see that -is- the right direction?

<span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%]The most common form of colorblindness is red-green. That means it's like telling the difference between two gray lights which are the same shade.
Turning your monitor sideways won't do anything... The lanes still change sides randomly. Not to mention that's just an idiotic idea.
How about mentioning something conducive to the discussion? Like...
Only have lights on the lane you need to enter, and make them brighter.

3. Yes, it's idiotic. That was the point.
4. Source Code; do you have it?

It wouldn't be that hard, to be honest. We -can- alter the lights on the tradelanes, so we could either change them to something a bit more people friendly or eliminate one side altogether.
I'd personally be thrilled to see tradelanes get a bit of an overhaul.
Y'know, from an RL standpoint, it doesn't really much sense to switch over and drive in the "other" lane every other intersection. Whether horizontal or vertical is of no consequence. Coming down the road and you pick your turn, there's no doubt in your mind which way you are traveling. Still, no matter how much you play here, you're still subject to lining up with the wrong lane, cursing yourself and possibly even getting killed because of it.
If there's someone who has both the means and the motivation.
About making the lights bigger and stuff, dunno if you noticed but when you shoot a tradelane the lights go out, and don't come back on when the lane reboots. And some of the in-between tradelanes don't have lights, so if you join a tradelane half way through you still don't know which lane is which.
You can always watch the npcs and see which lanes they come out of and go into. Simple observation. I barely have to even think about it when I'm using tradelanes now, I just automatically fly to the right ring.
