Gunboat thoughts...

i feel like i have to defend the design a bit ( the phallic part )

many ships have such a quality. - the simplest idea of something phallic is something that is taller than its wide. - now the gunboat has a thicker part in the front - with a thinner part in the middle ... and a thicker part in the back again.

however - it shares that rough shape with many other ships. ( kusari GB, liberty cruiser, many fighters )

its shape is a bit that of a drag racer - with an elongated front section that suggests speed.

in all seriousity - while i made the ship ( and also the kusari bombers that have a similar shape ) i NEVER thought about a phallic symbolism there... when i want to see it though - i can see it. ( just like i can see religoius symbols practicly everywhere when i want to )

but i do hope that we don t think of gaians as "the guys that are riding a spacedildo".

Wait a sec, where can we see that Gaians won't be allied to Corsairs anymore?

It seems that with each successive alignment change the Corsairs lose allies and the Outcasts don't

I love the idea of finally going hostile w/ the sairs, but the idea of possibly switching to a neut or friendly status with the outcasts in trade is simply insane to me:crazy:

And i dont believe the gaians were ever truly corsair alligned.It was Gaian-FA-Hogosha-corsairs.Not that big a connection and yes,Plague dog lets us fly claymores

At Watsas' points about the GC and ships, I still personally think they should get a Freighter. Something stylistically similar to their bomber.

But if we take anything from this thread, I think it should be this: (1) Jinx' gunboat was just too awesome looking (2) the Gaians should get a widlife saving transport (3) the Gaians should get a Light Fighter designed for hit and run type strikes. (4) the Gaians need a hug and more attention.

But really, a GC freighter would be a great addition, especially if they actually use it. Another excellent target for the Hogosha!

Honestly, the only thing remotely phallic in this game would be the IMG Cap turrets.
