Ok, a while back Cannon and I started making this plugin. I did the ini coding, and he wrote the FLhook stuff.

It kind of fell into "We forgot about it".

However, I'll talk to him, and we can look into it again. Hows that?

On the "this would make carriers overpowered" question there's a simple solution that will probably get me yelled at, but here goes anyway

If this was implemented, taking some (lots) of the guns off the carriers would make sense.

If you wanna shoot things yourself, get a BS

If you wanna control NPC wings, get a carrier.

Right, it's definately gonna happen, it's just going to take some time to do. I need to add an invisible base to every system ingame and edit the insides if said bases, and Cannon is working on the plugin. I talked to Igiss and he likes the idea, so, it's just a matter of time.

Not "lots"...that's ridiculous. 2-4 maybe. No more than that. Why? Who's going to fly something with six guns that they can't shoot anything. There's no fun in a fight if you're just a damage sponge.

I agree that this would be a very interesting addition, but that the carrier's absolute firepower would have to be reduced. A carrier should get most of its power from its fighters (or bombers, as the case may be) and have just a few weapons for point defense.

Rght now, the Lib assault carrier has more firepower than the Lib dreadnaught.

In a fleet engagement, a carrier ought to be well out of the way of enemy capships or protected by capital class escorts. Either way, it doesn't need enough firepower to take out a planet.

Anti fighter weaponary, sure, but the majority of it's firepower should come from the NPC fighter/bomber wings.

One such BS per official faction, RPing base and giving hell of a jolly good time to all of us, hence improving our gameplay experience while discouraging "lolcaps" and other OORP people.

Has my full support, only if it's well rule-wise regulated!

i secnd that, There can be only one. Otherwise the invisible bases wont work IMO.
And having a carrior have 4times 12 NPC is just crazy!
Thats a bit to much!
Still the carrier should be strong , but yes, weapons should beremoved if they get fighterwings.
Also, you should have to buy them from a base, cause you can have endless streams of wings spawning. If they die, they have to be bought back.

If this is the way it is, I would love the idea!
