Make the pic smaller please. Or I'll have to delete it.
And... Angel *is* sane, and her systems are fine (though needed tons of tuning). Newcastle is actually not much bigger than New York, and it has trade lanes. Problem is that NY is somewhat concentrated to the center, and Newcastle is not.

And Dab... that... is evil. But good. So long as it's off the beaten tracks and whatnot, I can potentially avoid it if I feel like it. Newcastle's declared Bretonia space, so I felt compelled. It's explored for me, now.
Its off the normal paths, one of the empty systems connected to Omicron Alpha. Don't have to go there if you don't feel like it. Its meant to be an Outcast-Zoner system, and I made it extremely large to make it a bit different, and give explorers a place to spend alot of time.:P
There will be plenty to explore, not to mention the nebulas that restrict sensor capabilities.
Well, I'll have to express my opinion about Newcastle: The system can't be used for trades. It is too large, too boring to cross all over. I would understand Newcastle's size if it had a high density, but it is just a normal system over-resized just to drive people nuts (except the nice faction bases, including the rare seen Gaians but that's just about it).

Aww... I thought the ridiculous size emphasized it.
And, ah... Huh... I didn't notice those two looking all that similar zoomed out or zoomed in... Guess I don't have that keen an eye for that. I just knew that, even zoomed in on the map, the patrol paths were still very thin. I'll have to do something to figure this out. Newcastle's easy enough to measure, from the Leeds gate to that gas giant in the corner with the IMG base. New York, can fly either south from the California and measure to just behind the Jersey field, or East of Texas gate to North of Detroit (I hate these terms, but there is absolutely no indication of where the Core of the Galaxy is in relation to the Sirius Sector's 'perceived' orientation, and thus any idea of using proper stellar directional terms (Coreward, Rimward, Counter-Spinward (or Trailing), and Spinward). With knowledge of the core's relative position, and the direction of the galaxy's rotation, one can use proper stellar direction terms, instead of the stupidity of using terrestrial terms that rely on magnetic/gravitational poles to define directions in an environment where there could be multiple magnetic sources, and most certainly are multiple gravitational sources).

Okay... I just found out that Cardamine can be sold at higher-than-average (more than 750) prices at the two legal bases furthest from the jump gate. o.O ... I have to wonder what the IMG wants with the stuff. I've never heard of them having a demand for them. The scientists at Sunderland, as well. This confuses me. I mean, according to my records so far, only Liberty has any real demand for Cardamine (and I'm fairly sure I remember Kusari doesn't have much of an interest in the stuff, besides the GCs). Bretonia doesn't seem all that interested in the stuff.
So... do the miners in these rare places like to get a Cardamine fix (instead of the Synthesized Marijuana that seems to be very popular in Bretonia), or is this stupid design by the cargo route planners for the mod? Because I've seen more stupidity (or perhaps, in this case, it's crafty design that becomes a payoff for those willing to make friends with the 'right' people) elsewhere involving a ridiculously short trade route having a big payoff, because a new station added in the mod paid big bucks for stuff sold at a nearby pirate base.

The 'Crafty Design' involves Alcatraz Base (Rogues) and the brand-new lawful station in California (Riverside Station). A trade route that can earn you over 100 Creds a unit, for such a short trip, and so early in the game, too. For Engine Parts, if I recall (EDIT: I'm not so sure about this right now. But I'll recognize it when I get there). I remember H-Fuel being involved in that route, as well. After killing enough Xenos to get in good with the Rogues, that route became my best friend.
And there's still a complete lack of Cardamine interest in the two areas that Newcastle are linked to (Not to mention a lack of IMG interest in messing with the Outcasts or their orange powder as I've headed through Bretonia and towards Malta while I've gotten most people peaceful - right now, I'm proceeding through Corsair space to Cambridge in my Somtaaw Acolyte - which I will complain about elsewhere). Either the price is the standard 750, or it's some value under that. Only in Liberty does my pricing range show the stuff increase.
I do pay attention to the prices and the attitudes of the factions involved, thankyouverymuch.

The other 'crafty design', or 'easter egg', involves a little more thorough investigation of all parts of Sirius ...
Ain't called Discovery for nothing you know.
There is a lot more out there to detect, though I sort of get the impression that you are finding this mod a bit
of a pain in the ass. Havn't seen you say a good thing about it yet.

Hoodlum
Some say he is a proud member of: "The most paranoid group of people in the Community."
I did say it stayed true to the FreeLancer feel far better than anything else out there. And I hope for the non-Freelancery things to be phased out in the future (I just found out the Corsairs sell Star Destroyers @.@ - I can't quite make it out, but I suspect the Outcast Dreadnought is a Mon Calamari Cruiser).
Anyway, from what I can tell, Synthetic Marijuana should be the staple of Bretonian space's contraband (?) drug market, not Cardamine. Cardiff and Hood are about as far away from Outcast space as IMG bases get, and they use the standard price. Hell, the most Corsair-ward (and furthest from Outcast space) IMG base is Friestadt, and it still has the standard price. They don't care for the stuff. How many times do I have to say it? It doesn't matter if it's a neat little thing - it still doesn't make any FreeLancer Universe sense. Especially if one of those places that buys it for higher than average price is a Military Research Station. Now, if I'm told they do research on Cardamine, that's another matter. But, really, it doesn't make much sense. Atka is doing research on making Synthetic Cardamine, but it doesn't have a higher demand for the stuff. In fact, they have a lower-than-average demand.
They do, however, seem to love their Synthetic Marijuana.
EDIT: As well, you can expect me to complain more than praise, I suppose - I'm an opinionated individual of Italian descent (though I've barely got more Scot and German to me than I do Italian, but still).

Yes the Corsair did sell the Venetar Star Destroyer, but it was removed due to a problem with the hitbox and targeting.
And no, the Outcasts do not use the Mon Cal Cruisers. How about you check before making accusations and assumptions. We try to find ships that fit factions the best. There really wasn't much out there to fit the Corsairs as a battleship. The Outcast's BS fits it well though. Not sure what exactly that ship is from, and if its from Star Wars, I don't recognize it.
About the cardimine; You can't treat it as a normal commodity. Prices don't differ from distance as much as they do demand, unlike most other commodities such as H-fuel. Who would expect the BHG to like Cardimine? Not many are gonna use it. Therefor, as you can tell, no BHG bases pay more than standard price for Cardi. Maybe that one IMG base has a traffic in drugs or a bunch of workers use it there. Who knows. But just because one station buys it, doesn't mean the entire NPC faction should.
