Nomination for a new Mod

Me, to be frank, I'd nominate Swift. He'd be rather well-suited to the job.

I don't believe the admins know me that much to make that decision, really. I won't say I wouldn't do it, but I don't believe things would come to the possibility of that happening.
Would be an honor though.

Yep he is well-suited, still don't enjoy his attitude. But hey, that's just my personal opinion.

I think you are well suited for the job, you will in fact do it very well. But my personal opinion about you as a person is that I don't enjoy your attitude when you act like this:

If he has the right to be nominated to a certain position of power, then I have my right to both criticize and vouch for it.

People make assumptions about other people as a conclusion of their behavior in all various threads and posts, so why can't I?

Well look Sina, I never did say I'm the best person around here. Most probably I'm average at best. But that doesn't matter as long as I'd manage to make a difference in my time here.

Take those guys for example.
They might not have been the best and greatest, but they were pretty good.
They approached everything with a good and calm attitude, came here to have fun, RPed, made friendships, and then at one point they couldn't handle what was going on around any more, it got to them, and this place, and I personally, lost around 10 good people to interact with, both in friendly and hostile situations on different characters.

If it was for any reason other than "Sorry but I just can't take it anymore", I would have been sorry, but wouldn't make a scene because of them leaving.

Now, as I said, I might come off self righteous or as a hypocrite, but I think we all might look that way sometimes.
I'm just not that bent on making everyone happy, I'll act according to my principles even if it means I'm not that liked, though I of course, as is human nature, prefer to be liked.

Oh and Athenian, leave this message here please, as I'd want to use it at other times when people find my attitude inappropriate.
And well, just to note, I don't resent Sina for posting this at all, 'cause why would I?
The man has his opinion and I don't resent him for expressing it, because he expresses it with constructive criticism, and not with flaming of any kind.

But alright, I won't go into a long discussion over this. Sina mate, post in the HS topic or PM me if you want to talk.

I think in terms on new Admin's a willing Mod should be selected, for a new Mod's I think the Admin's and current Mod's should select their choices and put them up for a vote.

I think being a Mod should be a player on the process to becoming an Admin and their performance as a Mod a deciding factor in whether they become an Admin.

Don't want to quote you on the whole thing Swift, but you are right everyone are self righteous and a hypocrite sometimes, we are human. And I understand your reasoning for posting what you did, however to me personally you came off as "I'm so much better than all of you, learn to behave like me." To be honest, the majority of the people here know how to behave and not act like idiots, yet we still do it, because sometimes our emotions (whether it be jealousy, frustration, etc.) makes us act irrational, that is a human trait. You shouldn't be so hard on the community at large, because I bet you in that particular case, the HS probably were dealing with a very specified group of people that caused them frustration enough for a person to leave.

Now as Swift I will also leave this thread and stop bashing him, I apologize for any inconvenience, next time I will shut my mouth when I want to say my opinion about people.

I would prefer to have access to dev forums to submit ideas rather than moderate bad behaviour. It is necessary, sure, but not attractive.

On the other hand, any good director / enforcer / etc shouldn't "love" what he does to have it under control. Best moderators I have seen in other communities I have been in the past were so excellent in language usage that they "locked" a topic without actually "moderating" it but simply giving a sarcastic, intelligent and yet "shutting the lolwut up" kinda messages.

That kind of moderation is epic win in my opinion. Admin stuff -> That is more attractive but again it shouldnt be a post to be "loved" or "desired". Loving power is a bad thing. Many bad stuff s been done to make it a better place in human history anyway.
