This is definitely where any issues may lie. Fighters should be much better about Bombers, on average. Actually sorting that out is a bit of an issue, but I was just thinking...

Obviously, a change in turning or strafe has been thrown around quite a bit and it seems logical enough if it can be adjusted properly.

What about the possibility of severely decreasing their armor, but increasing their shield proportionally? A fighter with debs should be able to stay on them easily enough, but if they're dodging, wouldn't cap pulses be much harder to hit with?

Personally, i think battleship guns should be more like, 1.00 or even .75 fire speed, but heavy damage on impact. say, 10k hull per hit, per gun. However, these big guns should turn slow. I also think the secondarys should turn Quickly and be more like cruiser guns on there, for close range. I think battleships should have a 5k gun range, because currently the strategy with battleships is to take the bigger and stronger bs, CRUISE up to point blank, then hammer the guy before he can use his agile bs worth a damn. Battleships are meant to WRECK any other capital ship in range, and they seem to be unable to do it. One skilled bomber can send a bs running, and that SHOULD NOT be happening. Perhaps if we increase the amount of turrets on each battleship? be able to make them what they RP wise are supposed to be, fortresses. SP mode had the liberty dreadnought with 18 guns. Why do all the battleships offencive options have to suck pretty horridly? You want to make specialised guns, fine, but if a battleship specailises anti bomber, dammit it should do REALLY good against them, and not mediocre as it is now.

So not true. Power of SNAC/Nova Torp is really amazing, but one cannot do anything to BS.
1. Complete cut of BS shield take REALLY long
2. Refire Rate of SNAC/Nova is so small, that even if you cut BS shield, it will restore itself before you can fire Snac again.

Alright, fine. However, the other points still stand. Their "anti fighter" weapons suck horridly to the point where they cant hit the fighter unless they are practially point blank. And their secondarys are really only good against GB and cruiser, and thats assuming they stay in range to face you and not use their speed advantage. Battleship salvos should be like getting hit in the face with a brick. Not a water squirt.

I, along with some other guys already mentioned this in this topic. I understand if you are too lazy to read it all. So i will say it again.

Battleship should be totally useless against Fighters/bombers. If owner of cap want to be protected, he should hire, or ask for escort.

fine, they can be useless against fighters bombers. But their guns seem to suck against anything other than OTHER bs's. Also, the "get an escort" clause is somewhat used, since theres often nobody AVAILABLE who CAN.

I'm not for boosting battleship or cap strength, because I do believe they've been boosted enough already.
From a time when 5 of the old Vipers Mk II could down a battleship, to now, when 4 bombers need to work for it, it's good as it is.

However, I do say that battleships with fighter escorts should be more effective.
Some sort of solution where fighters could down bombers way faster than now, but without harming bomber ability against caps, would be ideal.
'Cause right now, people saying 'Get an escort', don't really know what they're talking about, as those escorts, unless outnumbering the bombers by at least 2.5 : 1, aren't going to do anything.

Never heard of Freelancers/Mercs? And... correct me if im wrong... isnt yours Dreadnought? Liberty has biggest number of lawfuls. And if you really purchased that Valor, i believe you may feel free to ask any of GRN, including me for escort...
