Where to get Freelancer online?

So far, the only pay to download sites I've seen are rentals (goodness knows how that works). Yes, its cheap and only costs 10 bucks, but I'd rather pay 20 for a download. Why I'm asking this all of a sudden? Cos I know someone who may like this game and wouldn't feel so nice making an illegal copy even if its a dead game.

I'm not sure if they're referring to the file size, bytes per hour, or bytes per second, or bytes per minute.

Perhaps bytes per minute, considering 165 mbs. a second is impossible without a godlike internet connection.

This. You dont need the CD to play freelancer, just let him install it with your CD and then he can play fine afterwards... the only problem arises when he needs to reinstall for whatever reason.
