Never pirated for cash. Well, okay... once every 130 pirates or so, when my cargo is already full and he's carrying something wildly good.

Pirate Transport all the way.

I think to tresnfer credits to pirate, for a Transport i legative action. Not pirate does the transfer, but the lawful transport.

Anyhow if you say that pirates can't trasnfer money, what, do you say outcast / Corsair house do not have any money system within their house?

A bit illogical.

its so hard to understand what you mean. really. try to phrase so we can understand it without reading it 20 times.

and yes this is the discussion, if its legit or (in RP) to transfer credits.

@flatch, now if you would like a visual and grafic explanation how it will work in RP i can provide one.. probably many could:P

A pirate stops a trader.. in space, many guns, life at stake, everyone scared .

now the captain have access to couple of millions.. would he not punch in a code provided by a pirate? sending him as much needed to save his hide? Of course he will.. and thank god once the pirate is out of his scanner range.. yes in a well RPed (Or how i would imagine in space piracy scenario) The pirate will be the one running and hauling ass out of the crime sight.. unless its in open space.. and border worlds.

Well while there is the ability to transfer cash with non-corporate traders, I am on the fence whether the corporation have a policy for their employees to give money as ransom. Since the corporate traders are employees for a company that gives the pilots a salary, not millions of credits on hand.

That is my justification for corporate traders and not independent ones since its their bank account on the line.

and in game in RP i seen many corp traders that decide not to pay saying they do not have access.

And if they want to stay alive they will find the way to get it quick.. people become resourceful once their lives at stake.

and the ship value is much more than the couple millions that the pirate asking for. so the corp either gives it the credits to pay in case or the captain contacts the corp while being pirated... If you want to go deeper in RP you can imagine that the pirate/pirates board the ship and making sure that he contacts the corp without giving enough time to alert the authority/reveal location and so on.

As long as you have a friend to jump into a little supernova-throwing insect, cargo piracy is always better than "cred" piracy. For one, you get paid even if the trader refuses and you blow him up. And secondly you're dealing with real material here, not phantom credits.

Also, I believe it's simply more fun. "2 mil or dai" turns into "That dueterium is helping our enemies, drop it now."

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

Been pirating cargo since mid last year, been blown up many of times too!

I enjoy giving the traders a "chance" to fight, and like Weed said, the "lolwut, just kill meh" guys get hit harder. Money though, many of times I have accepted a trader begging to give me money instead, with my response as "well, I guess I don't have to report this little transaction to my supperiors, but they will be sad when I get home with less cargo."

I say most pirating can be done anyway people see fit to do it. Heck if tere we're alot more food traders, that would be all my corsair would pirate, instead I'll take everything from counter measures to the hessains the guy just shot down 5k back!

And good job to the two mining ships carrying VIPs earlier! Blew my butt right out of the water! I got to like the fact some realize they have a chance.

Also , cargo piracy isnt ololol. Demanding all cargo ( in a OORP fashion) or demanding unreasonable amounts of cash is. My only pirate char right now only demands 100k ... Or demanded.

I do pirate alone in my Big Dragon... often.... I am getting a bit tired of people bringing multiple gunboats to try and get me.. it is a Big Dragon after all.

Lastly, It would be oorp for me not to demand the entire cargo. AFA wants to stop all foreign trade into Kusari, allowing people to get to their destination with any of their cargo gives them an incentive to try and make the run again. The entire thought of not taking it all, or at least as much as you can carry is an oorp consideration.
