Yea,we are trying to do this,we invite people if we first see their ingame skills and RP capabilities.
Not everyone who posts aplication in recruit thread gets into Order|.
We pick the best.
Bur problem is that we have many enemies,and we need numbers and active seroius people.

If you did that, they would just go and ruin someone elses 'hard work', they would all just migrate to the corsairs, BHG or LN.

I may not play the Order, but that seems harsh. You can't make the Order invite-only. It's just not fair.

most people say the same thing about the keepers, wilde, and phantoms.

Pre-4.85, the order had, as I said, some of the most well respected independent players on the server - they worked well with the official order faction, and life was good. Lolwutting was almost nonexistent among the order.

Then 4.85 came, and now there are more carriers in the order than there are fighters and bombers combined - and 95% of those carriers are lolwutters looking to blow up people with as little rp effort as possible. These mangy brainless apes have infiltrated my faction and ruined it, and I'm not too pleased about that fact.

This conversation came up several times during 4.84, about making the order an invite only group like the nomads/wild/phantoms, but it just keeps getting shot down, and usually it's shot down by the people who are causing problems in the first place. Hard to argue with the vocal majority.

just cause you re invite only won t get you better gear (the idea is rather to stop the "we are ganked, we need better gear" argument - cause its silly, unfair and unbalances fights - and i very much dislike this attitude ( even if it was meant as a joke [but i feel there s at least a grain of seriousness in this statement] )

the BHG caps are worse than the order caps ( except for the destroyer, which is meant to be the BHGs main warship - while the order destroyer is not meant to be the backbone of the order fleet )

what i will not do is produce a ship for an "invite only" faction, sorry. - i don t believe in that sort of roleplay concept.

( and yes , i made some concepts for the phantoms every now and then - but i don t like it either, nor the idea of the faction. - from my point of view, there is really no reason to revise the destroyer - ... if there were technical issues with it, bugs or vast balance problems, i d have a go ( or great quality issues ) - but its not really that way )

Maybe the Order should be invite-only due to the lolwutters and unorganized indies
Maybe this would be only temporarily until we get rid of the lolwutters
But this would mean a lot more open member slots in the Orderl
This would mean much better organization that usual and we wouldn't be blow up by a BHG fleet EVERY time...
