Firebird, it had no tag. It was not HF trader, it didn't even have an NPC tag. The owner was a friend of AW and seeing as how there were two pirates in Cambridge at the time, one even a battleship, that SF were doing nothing but saying 'get out' to.. Not backing up those words. Had we left like SF wanted to, the train would have died.

So if it wasn't an HF trader then who was it? And what pirates were attacking it? Are we even talking about the same incident?

Sorry, but have to disagree with that one...:)

It started as a legitimate RP. I believe there could be a group of "hardcore zoners" who would agree with the points Ant gave here. And I am pretty sure all the posters were capable of dealing with it in an RP way.

It's a shame that RP threads tend to end in flames these days and I'm sorry for that. I hope new mods can help with that in future...

While Korrd is in Dab's pocket and complaining to Igiss, the AW can get away with pretty much anything they wish.

I haven't mentioned this to anyone but Firebird before...however...seeing as my characters are deleted anyway it doesn't really matter.

I have no proof apart from seeing 2 cruiser infernos and 2 cruiser battle razors hitting a stationary Rheinland bomber. Korrd shortly thereafter left the server saying something about some serverside thing.

My guess would be an admin shield was equipped to Korrd's bomber. I have seen about the same effect on a shield when Wolfpack asked me to shoot his admin bomber.

Now, I think Korrd makes a good server admin, however his protectionism of the AW exceeds by far any rights an admin should have.

I have had enough of the AW, Dab and the support Korrd gives them, and am not prepared to put up with it any more.

the best way to change discovery is to stay not to just say fine i'm leaving and on the AW/zoners matter
other fractions get ripped to peices over tags/ids so what makes AW better ( although yes you do RP overall)

You saw my admin char "[Admin]Korrd" taking shots from Dab, who was trying to penetrate my shields. That char has all admin stuff on it. But i have no Admin stuff on my [AW] RH bomber.
Other admin may log in to the server and post screenies of the config of my AW ships (Tulkas, Orome, Iluvatar and manwe). I can't log in to RD now because it is blocked from my office, so if i had admin stuff on my chars, i would not be able to change it before the screenies are posted.

I am not protectionist of the AW. You may read about it on prior [AW] conflicts, when Wolfpack and I stopped those conflicts on server's best interests, even in detriment of the AW. It's all there, just use the forum search and you will see.

And that about being on Dab's pocket? Not sure of the meaning, but i tell you that if i see dab cheating, or doing something against the rules, he will get the same punishment as any other member of the community.

However, options are few. I do not fault Brother Kell for his decision to move on.

He will be missed.

I have some serious thinking to do about my own continued presence here.

Verandas can be rebuilt. History can be remade, in less adversarial environments.

If however, I leave Canaria and the Zoners, the adversary will have won.

I do not know.

I have been told to find the "door". Has someone the right to tell me that? No.

But I may certainly choose to do so of my own free will.

Korrd was never pro-AW biased and often opposed Dab if he was wrong. Also, Korrd never complained to me. Before telling lies and trying to decieve others Ant, you should've read the forum rules at least, libel is prohibited here, as well as insults. You are most welcome to leave Ant. There are lots of servers/forums to choose for you, both with and without Discovery mod. Maybe some of those will suit your needs better.

Regarding the RPness of this thread. It was RP, but it is no longer. The ID system cannot fit RP precisely. Not many people tried to act precisely like their NPC allies.

Let me explain. AW had no affiliation when ID system was introduced. After much controversy, I convinced Dab to take Zoner affiliation. Zoners were chosen cause they are 1) a powerful faction 2) reside in Edge Worlds and 3) are a loose union of many people who live outside of House systems, which gives alot of freedom to their allies. "Zoner" is explained in-game as anyone who left the House borders and wishes to live independently from others. Which might include other zoners. Is there a reason why one group of zoners should enforce their will over other zoners, or their allies? I don't see any.
