I think the problem is, a good majority of these 'lol....' don't even use the forums.
Might not have even read the rules.
Until use of the forums can be someway enforced in game, there will always be those people who do things how they want, regardless of the rules or, dare I say it, etiquette governing Discovery.
Of course, these people do those things you mentioned, Camtheman, and then others, who probably do frequent the forums get annoyed, and begin acting up.
Ends up being a big chain reaction.
Perhaps players should be booted from a character for a certain amount of time after death, to give them time to cool down and think straight? And write up a Report, if need be.
I'll tell you one thing. Not pirating your cargo full of ore but leaving you alone isn't being excellent to you. It's being selfish.
The most excellent thing i can do is do my best to pirate you awesomely.
This isn't intended to Sprolf, you is used for general population of this server.
This post is not in flood, it has a topic, and I'd be quite pleased if you all stopped from dragging this into areas which it does not address. The insistence on this discussion drifting to a topic which is irrelevant is irking, to say the least.
Unless... does mining and piracy have something to do with this?
Why is it on everyone's mind when I mention the topic of being nice, decent, and fair?
The only time I don't play nice is when I enjoy taking your ore.
And boy do I enjoy it!
But other than that:
1.0 Be excellent to one another. Consider the people around you. Keep fair play in mind. It's a game and nothing is gained, or lost, save the experience. Credits can be re-earned. Ammunition replenished. If you become infuriated step away. If you make a mistake apologize. If you wish to remain in system after you die, or after someone has moved away, simply ask.
