I would aswell.

And as for the idea: I like it. Although a literal "Admin Bank" wouldn't work in RP, perhaps a small player-run business funded by Admin money.

Edit: To be frank, not all of us want to spend our days trading or mining. It's boring, and you just want to get on with your actual projects. Yes, some people do enjoy trading and mining in role-play, but there should be another option.

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

I'll make a more serious post now, since my last one was kinda jabbing.

I think that we need to keep in mind the learning curve. Learning curve is important.
An player that knows what's he doing can get a loan within 12 hours of his registering on the forums because his loan request will be in rp.

He will then proceed to mine / trade / find a group to earn cash from and manage to pay off that loan fast because he didn't need a learning curve.

New player will start, and if you provide him with a cash to buy a zoner guard ID whale on his second day, his play won't be good at all. He will fail to witness some important things in game and he will learn from his mistakes when first sanctions start flying in. Honestly, its better for him and for all of us that those sanctions and mistakes happen in smaller ships than in big ships.

I don't know about an actual admin bank. For all, i don't really care. Only new people would need that for loans and stuff...

I like my /drawcash command just as it is... I would just LOVE it if my bank wasn't a character that could expire. I don't how it could be done, but I would love it if I could store my cash "on the server", so I would just have to /drawcash account: 20303845 ... Something like that. That way if I get bored of Freelancer, I could just sell all my stuff, write down my FL ID code and my account number... And then come back 6 months later and withdraw some cash to start up again. Instead of logging in on the character once in a while to make sure my bank doesn't get deleted.

Don't ever piss against the wind

No because a new player could just borrow 220m and buy an adv train rather than working up to it like everyone else had to. Working up from level 5 is a nessercsry learning curve

Then don't offer it to new players. Offer it to people who have proof they have been on the server for a few months, so they have learnt the rules already.

I thought there already was an admin controlled bank.
Isn't that the [IND]? :P

CONSPIRACY TIN HAT TIME!

Seriously, though - I think I can speak for all of us in stating that our response is somewhere between no and hell, no. :nono:
As has been so eloquently stated here by others, if you can't take the time to actually trade up - which realistically doesn't take that long anyway - then why would you be a good credit risk to actually repay the loan?

And yes, I'd also second that the learning curve or the "cash curve" is a very important part of starting out in Discovery. It lets you explore more, learn the precise value of money, and get a handle on how the game works from the bottom up - you always have to know the system from the bottom if you're going to work in it, otherwise people end up hating you. Very true, I never thought about it. Even with the tons of financial help I got at the beginning. I still did learn a lot by trading and learning the way of the "Disco". So I would vote that you would have to have an account on the forums for at least 1 month maybe even 2.
