' Wrote:This would also mean, that if they are recognized as a separate sovereign state, Kusari can't simply attack them without repercussions by other houses that recognize this group. It'd be seen as a state of war. See Taiwan for an example. Taiwan, by gaining the recognition as a separate state by several key world nations, effectively stopped China's attempts to take them over.
Thats a bit of an oversimplification on Taiwan. It is not international recognition that secures Taiwan, it is overt support from the United States, in the form of military equipment, mainly surface to air and surface to surface missile systems, as well as in the form of a direct threat to the Chinese that if they attack Taiwan the United States will respond with military force. So it's not the "recognition" that maintains Taiwan's security, it is a major power giving it protection.
That said, I think this is a decent enough idea, enough that it should be given a chance to develop.
Theres a lot of quasi rebellion/revolution groups out there already. but i mean everything dominated by a interstellar galactic economy.
Theres gotta be some hard core anti capitalists that arent Ivan related. Call them the.. Hempnaughts.. or.. LSDbombers or.. The Tribe.
GC/SD factions should have started creating settlements by now though wouldn't they already have their ideal society in practice already?
Though being recognized as a sovereign state isnt the problem, natural law dictates you are sovereign, if they can fight off the kusari navy only dictates how long they stay that way.
All this Taiwan-stuff is missing one point. Those separatists would attack Kusari and no house out there could seriously deny Kusari the right to defend itself.

Annexing = Taking. Just because they take it once, doesn't mean Kusari, when they come to take it back, the aggressors.
From a gameplay perspective this group would do very little other then sitting in their new home system hoping the KNF or a stupid trader rolls by that they can interact with. Because if they leave they're either pirates or foreign nationals invading Kusari. Both of which get them treated to the same thing as GC/BD.
The nature of any annexation is all pure speculation.
At this time - the goal is merely to create a particular strain of thought within the Kusari radicals. Call them the 'radicals within the radicals' if you like.
Sorry for disappearing on all of you. I am currently writing a wall of text to present to the Dragon Shogunate to try to sway several higher up shoguns to support this train of thought.
Dab, what you said basically summed up what i have been wanting to say but couldn't think of a way to say it. We were in no way going against the GC/BD , if anything, our group will only speed up the goals of the GC/BD. We would not be turning our backs on our GC/BD brothers and sisters, and if a new nation-state is actually implemented, then even better for them, because they have a safe haven to carry out their goals under protection of the new government.
I would love for more ideas towards this subject, and of course, counter-points are good also, as they help me thin out the bad points in my RP.
I would love to see the interactions between the GC and BD in their own government. When writing up the laws and regulations, suddenly all the old disagreements and conflicts are bound to come up. Especially about cardi.
Go pitch your idea, I think it will be very interesting to watch develop.
