I had this plan for the BSG ship reform, it's a maxed out one, but covers anything we'd use.

The viper mk I being downgraded to a heavy fighter - gun slots identical to the marauder's (2x lv 9, 2x lv 8, 2x lv 7), turret and the torp mount removed (only CD)

Adding the mk II as a VHF - slightly more agility than the current mk I, no turret mount

The mk VII (forgot to post before)

This one would be a light fighter. 4 level 9 guns and a CD.

The raptor would be a bomber - stats identical to the Taiidan.

The galactica-type battlestar would replace the current mk I (white one), get slightly more armor and retain its current weapon loadout and powerplant.

The Pegasus would be the replacement for the Advanced battlestar. Its stats would improve greatly to illustrate the tech jump, compared to the Galactica. 16 turrets, Almost as much armor as the Outcast dreadnought, but costing some 200 mil more than the Outcast BS. That way, the usage of these ship would be limited - people will prefer to buy something cheaper and haveing roughly the same stats.

I also had intended to get some cruiser-like ship, but haven't fund any suitable model yet. Anyway, the ship would be pretty much like the Talarca we've been using on a normal basis untill recently. A class in between a gunboat and cruiser. Capable of outgunning the former and outrunning the latter.

Speaking of size... Let's say that if the battlestars would be sized correctly - proportionally to the vipers (vipers launch from small, triangular tubes on the landing pads' sides), theneven the relatively small Galactica would be as big as three planets (Cambridge e.g) put one next to another. For disco needs, that would be a bit too much;) (but how kewl it would look)

I have to say that while that BSG ship looks awesome, it really dsoes, we don't need another un-freelancer ship in here! Get people to make their own models and not take from shows, movies or other games.

I do like the idea of that 'Yamato' battleship, have a ship that looks like an old boat but have it a space ship.

Kinda reminds me of that Disny Movie 'Treasure Planet' where they had sailing ships that would go in space, but they have engines and sheilds and everything, it was pretty cool.

I have to agree with the no more non freelancer ships (there cool ships but there not "freelancer" imo), we have to many already.

Aye, It wouldnt fit in at all (That, and my Retexturing isnt goin well cause I cant edit the model iteself (In like Milkshape [CMP Importer for MS3D would be nice, if anyone has it]))
Anyways, Argo wont be added for this very reason:P So, Let us try and find some Freelancer-ish ships!

Oh, god, yes. Does anybody have a CMP importer for Milkshape? I still can't texture, but I can Hardpoint, at least...

Agreed, I like the Yamato model, but, frankly, it would be too much hell to balance. And, let's face it, it doesn't look very FLish.

Don't make plans yet, Templar, the Outcast Dreadnaught is up for replacement anyway, I've got the model done. Just have to find somebody who can texture. She'll be a hell of a lot tougher target than she is now.

I cant texture using programs such as MS3D, but if you already have a Mat done of it, I could retexture it a bit.

EDIT: I found my pics of my work! So, as soon as I can transfer them, I'll post them up and show off my work of retexturing

No, sadly, all I have is a bare Gmax model. Theoretically we can just stretch the Saber's textures over it, but I'm not even half-clear on the terminology...is that what you mean?

That's Easy... even I could do that, and I don't really know how to texture... Of course, it'd look terrible. PM the model to me and I'll show you.

Hmmm, maybe I should find Drizzt's texture and model guide on Lancers for ya guys...

Anywho, heres My latest work. This originally was a grey, shiny Imperial Dreadnought (From Star Wars:P). Now, well, you get the idea. It is encristened, the Fire Storm. And, you can see it coming from all the way across the galaxy!:P
(By the way, I AM Luc McCloud. He is my character that is almost exactly like me except that hes a anthropomorphic (BIG WORDS! THEY HURT! XD) fox, and, that he is a pyromaniac...)

These are some of my works, But I am mostly proud of the Firestom. It looks like it just came outta the sun and it looks cool in my opinion. Shame it aint freelancer-ish :rolleyes:
