The Command Carrier and a Light Cruiser. This is the former.

(With feedback from several Bretonians, these are two ship types that seem to be the most needed, and with the impending war with Gallia combined with the current warzone situation, I thought I'd get modelling. I'm aware the deadline has passed, and I know I probably wont get any kind of exception here, but it's worth a shot. The modelling is almost completed, as is the texturing).

A separate thread will be opened for the Bretonian light cruiser, once I'm finished with the command carrier. :)

I doubt that you could ever enter with that in a Jump Gate

Can you make a size com to the other Bretonian Warships?

Farlancer.

It's cute but I really can't support you making a Bretonian themed Command Carrier, it's pretty much a direct rip from Farscape. The work looks decent, texturing in a few places is a bit hazzy but otherwise it's alright.

The real issue I'm drawing here is that it's an import, right down to the name.

That's completely rubbish, mate. While The Command Carrier served as an inspiration for the decimator class, it certainly wasn't my only source. The only similarity with the peacekeeper counterpart are the circular rings, and that's where the similarity ends. The tell-tale fish/aquatic themse is completely evident here, and as I said the rings serve to silhouette the profile of a stingray. So no, it's not a "direct rip" and I take a bit of offense to degrading my work to that magnitude.

I think some people are so touchy about "imports" that they forget that no design is wholly original, and that anyone with a broad knowledge could certainly point out that; this or that of this model comes from babylon 5, Andromeda, independence day etc. I mean it completely depends on how much you over-analyse a model.

Sorry. :)

...you know, it's impressive, and it's a lot of work, but I just don't really like it.

The hull is the right shape. It's a great shape. Unfortunately, all of the details strike me as wrong. The ribbing is nice, but it's not Bretonian, and it strikes me as done kind of carelessly. The bow shape is strange and runs counter to the motif of the rest of the vessel, honestly, and we're missing elements like the torus and the legs you see on other Bretonian ships. The rings would be okay, but I think they'd create a huge issue moving anywhere, and that legs would accomplish the task more efficiently. When I see those rings I think LUCREHULK! and it's just not good. Can't wait to see your cruiser design, though; It's well-textured, even though the model base is off-key with me. I think they also need a light gunship.

Just remove the rings and add more details. Also, be sure you add larger windows. Change the engine - its a bee hive! Re-do the nose, looks to "pointy" imho. The belly needs a re-work. The textures need to apply a bit more to the model. The backward 'shovel' needs to be more detailed than that - looks to plain. Take the critics as "friendly words" and understand our logic of what we are trying to say.

The model looks 'descent' - meaning I give it a 6 out of 10.

Sorry;)

I know very little about designing ships, and I think it's very nice work. But I don't think it fits in Disco. The rings don't suggest stingray to me at all; rather, a stingray would have wings of a sort coming from the bow, with their widest point in the middle, but then returning inward from the 1/3 point to about the 3/4 point (moving from front to back, of course). The jutting-out would be more foward than in the middle, and more diamond-shaped than circular.

A really impressive ship. But ... there may be problems at docking if it will have a massive scale. But it's gorgeous, the Gallics will be surprised when facing Bretonians:D

I think it looks cool:)Well done.

I really like the idea behind this too. Its where the commander sits down, dispatches and commands the forces. It gives me the impression that it would have (maybe need) great shield and power plant capacity.

And did I count 10 hardpoints correctly?

As for it fitting in disco, I think this is borderline.

It's good to see some Bretonian ship concepts.
