Thats why I suggest that the swarms are to be removed. Or exchnged with some other weapon that dosen't causes that much lag.

Well if it's removed, you should at least mention it otherwise the people who already have them.... nevermind. You could decrease the firing rate and up the damage and simply make it like an energy missile (missile damage, refire rate, but uses energy).

I would have to disagree. Missiles that shoot even 2-3 missiles would still cause a good amount of lag. Just remove the Swarm missiles. No need for them in the first place. Rapid-fire missiles were never meant for the game. :/

Found a bug with the Eagle (Korrd can confirm this..)

The Armor upgrades do not seem to have any effect on the eagle. This might be worth looking into before 4.79.

I know that I've asked this before but could we have positron and molecular shields for gunboats, cruisers/destroyers and BS's as well as the current graviton ones?

Because outcasts and corsairs plus anyone else using anti-graviton weps can drop the current cap-ship shields very fast, only a player ship with 4 tizonas can drop them quicker.

One of my characters has a Britonia gunboat, 6 outcasts in stillettos can drop the shield just by flying past with guns blazing.

Before I forget it again, the flak turrets need something done. No-one uses them and you can't hit any target unless it's sitting still. I know I've tried using them.

Question, the shield on the Nomad City...right now its indestructable, correct? Can it be made like a normal shield but with an insanely large number? If not, can we switch it to armor and give it a unique upgrade that accomplishes the same effect.

(Idea for a much later roleplay :crazy:)

Confirmed. The Armor upgrade is only effective against energy weapons. Against missiles, the armor upgrade has no effect.

Swarm refire rate will be reduced, and about armor upgrades... What ships are affected? Have you tested original ships other than Eagle? If yes and they behave same way, this might mean that armor upgrades are buggy and should be removed from game, I'm afraid. This is a serious issue.

I suppose this is partly related to ship parts thing. Parts of ships, when hit, affect the rest of the ship, and armor upgrade only applies to central part of hull. So when part is hit, all ship gets same damage as if the hull had no armor upgrade. Of course I might be mistaken...

Ive fought against every one of the original fighters in the game and the only one ive found the bug is the Eagle. Igiss theory might be correct given that when i fired on the fins, the damage was a lot bigger than when i fired to the central hull...
If someone is willing to help me try the rest of the ships, PM me or talk me in game. I need players with non original FL ships (ships added to the mod).

I dont agree. Armor upgrades makes the battles between fighters a lot more fun because you dont kill the enemy in the first run. It alos makes possible for a fighter to threat a BS.
Remove them and you will be killing the fun on PvP.
