When I think OMG OMG I'm gonna die here today, and I don't.

I enjoy fights that offer me a challenge.

I'm hopeless in a VHF. In a 1v1 I can almost guarantee my termination, unless my opponent is inexperienced. In a group fight I go crosseyed and can't focus on a target. So I tend not to enjoy VHF fights that much.

I'm getting much better in a bomber, and I just love my pulse/razor GBs. That's where I get the most fun.

I love taking my GBs into a fight where I'm facing 2 or 3 bombers, or a mix of bombers and fighters. The odds are stacked against me, but a couple of good shots can level the playing field. I have been known to take on 2 GBs at once, but I tend to do that if I think the pilots are very inexperienced. Against reasonable pilots, a single GB will almost always lose a 2v1.

I like 1v1s in my bombers, simply because it's a one hit matchup. I don't mind being outnumbered 2:1 if both are bombers. I'm not any where near good enough to take on fighters though.

If I lose, and I've not been horribly outnumbered, I don't care. As long as I know I've had a chance to win it's all good. What I really hate is when I'm having a really hard, close fight and someone else jumps in to turn it into a meaningless matchup. This usually occurs when I'm in a GB. At least in a fighter I have a better chance of avoiding fire and escaping. I've lost count of the number of fights where I've been in a 2 or 3 v me, and it's been really close, and suddenly it's been a 5 or 6 v 1. Usually with a "lolwilde, egnaggbbuging", or "dai hunter". And that's on a good day. Sadly it's experiences of this type that are more and more common these days. Nobody I know of enjoys fighting 2 cruisers and assorted Mafics/fighters in a solo GB. There's little respect for the people on the other end of the screen, it seems, and this leads to me having little respect in kind. That's a fact I really do not like.

The best fights I ever had were against the OPG of old, when I was in my Orca. They were always hard, but fair. I respected their skills and they, I think, respected mine. Kudos to all you guys - Vilkas, Ivan, Espi, Karolis et al.

A fight that draws out the best of me. A fight with a more skilled opponent, that makes me try my hardest to beat him. A fight that makes me keep trying over and over and over again, even if I fail 10000 times. A fight where I dont just kill my opponent in 1 minute without losing regens, and just go "meh".

A fight with someone like Mark or Kapi (just an example) would be my definition of an enjoyable fight.

There are also group fights. And as far as group fights go, any kind of group fight is enjoyable, as long as one side doesnt get fed by an annoying battleship, or someone re-engages 10 times.

RP always wins. my favourite encounters have been getting ganked (although I bring it on myself most of the time) by the BAF and somehow escaping through RP or somehow pulling a fast one on them in combat.

I honestly do not mind losing to the official BAF factions because they are usually good RPers. where as I rage even when I win against a lone bunter who does the /l1 "I am gonna collect bounty, yadda yadda yadda" and starts shooting less than a second later.

my only wish is that a select few of the LN lot would take a leaf outta BAFs book.

EDIT: ok, bit harsh, LN aren't even that bad

I like 1vs1 especially when my oponent is better then me and I need to give all my best to survive that long as it will be possible and damage him that much as it will be possible with my skills.

Pretty much what you said, Aerelm. Duels between snubs are great. I also find 2v1 to be very thrilling..
Lastly, bomber duels rape

The good fight...well, I always say it (well, if it was indeed a good fight, I mean, not after a super gank or such), wether I lose or win.

Just a few things annoy me: super ganks...I hate when people say something around these lines: well, I got ganked by the LNS once, now each time I see one I gank the crap out of it....no no no :nono:

And finally, poor losers...sort of like if I win, you go like: hey, you mine spammed! You had better ping! I received a phone call! That was not fair and so on...

Oh yeh, which summarises the above 2 points: people who try to ruin other people's fun, for one reason or another.

In a 1 v 1 scenario: A fight where the winner ends up with at the very least all shield batteries gone. (Wether that's me or the other guy.)
In a furball scenario: At least helped kaboom one enemy before kabooming myself.

Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.

Best are the fights where I am of the opinion that I fought really good. If I lost or won, if there was a blue message or not doesn't matter at all.

But what matters is the opponent. If he doesn't put up a good fight, I can't counter and have no chance to do good fighting myself.

So fighting against an easy opponent is no fun for me.

And yes, I am probably talking about me fighting in a transport as well, so getting away out of a good piracy is fun too. Or die trying and almost getting away. Doesn't matter.
