I think he is probably upset because he was in a trade ship and a Keeper likely gave one maybe two lines of pre set messages before killing him. You know, just for the blue message.
I've had that kind of run in with some Keepers. I've also had wonderful encounters with them. All depends on who is behind the Keeper at the time and if they are there for role play or purely for the blue message. The faction has people who subscribe to both channels. Most factions do.
"Uh, your transmitter is setted up to show that you are the so-called infected pilot? Hereby I open fire on you. Die, alien!"
Like that? I suppose that it's either a question of game mechanics or question someone more experienced in Nomad roleplay should better answer. I always found it more interesting to ignore this kind of red on scanners and play according to ship and behavour of a certain individual.

No, not like that.
But I find it odd that the same RM ships keep blowing stuff up and nobody ever remembers anything nor 18 years after the Nomad war nobody can tell a wilde from a human.
The Order knew in vanilla campaign that Admiral Schultzky is infested.
If you can roleplay knowing that a freelancer is a pirate I don't see why you can't do the same in this case.
Sorry, but I believe that some characters can know that it's a Wilde even before they get shot in the back.

There are a number of ways that one could detect a wild by conventional means. They're in human ships after all.
Presence of biologics. Either in the form of simply nomad weaponry to large scale nomad infestation.
Vessel registered as lost, either in modern times or one of the ancient nomad zombie ships. I've little doubt that Rheinland and Kusari have made a habit of marking any vessels "downed" in the field as hostile and that information freely available.
Just because the guy has an "ID" that you "Can't see" doesn't mean you can't fall back on other senses and good 'ol fashioned logic.

Dusty, you're asking people to use common sense here, and you know that it isn't... :P
Is it too much to ask that, before you go screaming in, you say something halfway original? Oh, crap. Sensors detect those aliens we fought. Get ready, mates, we're in trouble. Seriously - that'd do quite nicely as all the RP that you HAVE to have before combat. But...
And this is the key thing - there's no reason that you simply have to have the bare minimum of RP. Hey, you, weird blue thing. Can you hear me? I'm curious about you - what did we do to make you mad? Why are you out here? Is your presence the actual sign of a higher being or plane?

ID overrides IFF. If anyone uses a "wilde" ID they can be freely engaged by anyone except for nomads. But that's server rules, not good roleplay. In short? If you feel like shooting, make up a reason ("your vessel is registered as missing in action, you are a fraud." *pewpew*). If you feel like roleplay, roleplay.

Say 2 lines,then kill them.

2 lines is more then i have ever got from a keeper in 3+ years before they fired on any of my ships. But you must RP before shooting them,or they will report you 30 seconds later guaranteed. Only Keepers allowed to be OORP in Disco.

So you call it OORP that Nomads shoot at humans rather than having a nice chatter and tea with 'em ? That's prolly the most stupid thing I've heard for a while now.
If they would act strictly after the vanilla lore, they'd just shoot you without saying -anything- at all.
Maybe you were just unlucky, or weren't even interested in interacting with them. (After all you seem to have a huge grudge against them anyway, prolly because you can't have their shiny stuff without joining them)
Most of the encounters I've had with nomads, especially Keepers were nice. The roleplay is interesting and gives a little variety into the every-day Navy-shoot-pirate and the other way around crap.
