You do. What if someone doesn't? So he goes to the Wiki and sees ... something that isn't actually in game.

What's the wiki for, then? I thought it's a resource about the game, carrying information about stuff in the game. If you replace that with stuff that isn't in the game, you've defeated its purpose.

Adding the images somewhere else with a clear message that this isn't in the game would work.

Undo the changes. Nuff said.

The current images are misleading for new players.

If you dont care, then just dont post in this topic. Its simple, really.

Now, imo you should revert to the 4.85 models because they are currently in game. These new images can be confusing for new players that go look for a ship on the wiki and they find a ship that isnt in game. If people really want to see the new models, then add a link on the bottom of the page or something saying "This is how the model will look in the next mod version". But then you should do that for all ships that are getting new models, not just 4 of them.

And isnt that the new Liberty Battle Transport that will be coming out, and not the new LABC model?

I agree that changing the wiki before the release of the new mod is a bad idea. While we all HOPE it will be released soon we also remember from the release of 4.85 that it could take another year or three before that happens. Until that time we need current data.

Tell you what, make up some ship models for 4.87 and post them right away, that version might be released within 10 years but we need those pictures on the wiki now! (accentuating how bad an idea this was)

I'm one of the wiki editors for another server and I can understand your enthusiasm. I'm not looking forward to trying to change all those pictures and pages within a short time frame when 4.86 is finally released. BUT the wiki needs to be here and now, not living God-only-knows how long in the future.

BTW that rendering for the LABC looks TERRIBLE. It looks like someone sliced the ship and added a different part without bothering to match colors and hull panel lines. Who does work like that and posts it like a finished model?

Take that up with Luis please, the only flaw I can see is the completely white Liberty flag on the front.

We all do.

I said to clearly label, so we can leep on hopin'.

Have both renders, one labeled current, one labeled future.
