Show me this.

And the Asco description does not count, as it says "flotsam".
flotsam = floating wreckage of a ship or its cargo
So, it does not necessarily mean it is old and rusty scrap metal.
It can even be "good" metal, for example from the remains of a Valor, etc. etc.

As English is my second language, I didn't even know what floatsam means. But even then, Junkers get some fine scraps, and their ships still are quite primitive, and they are way larger than the Brigands are, as a comparison. AND the Junkers have Royal fundings behind them.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

English is also not my primary language, I also did not know what it means, I just googled it.

Using "scrap ships" is the roleplay of the Junkers, though. The word "Junker" says it all...
Also, if I am not mistaken, they have these ships because they should not attract too much attention, they are Royal spies after all (or something like this, I am not very well informed about them)
Anyway, there is a reason for them to use these ships and these ships only.

Redesigning whole line because you find they have no or small amount shared design features....well, vanilla rheinland and liberty fighters share only few design features, but they share same design idea. Same is with brigand ships....while they not look a like, base design idea is clearly visible.

I got complaints that my GRN ship line looks too similar, because each model shares entire base hull...

But, actually both design ways are correct....some vanilla ships have bigger differences (lib, RH, rouges) and some lines share base design (corsair, outcast, birds of prey etc)...AoM went in one direction and I in other.

So, to sum it up, there is no reason to redesign these ships, because, from quality stand point these ships are just fine. They look as they look, some like them, and some don't....i don't like liberty ships, but you don't see me redesigning them, and i actually have capability to do it myself.

Don't get me wrong, i am all for updating models, making them better in some aspects, hell i did it for part of GRN line for 4.86 (and rest will be updated for 4.87). But base design should remain the same.

I get your point, Doom, but what is a "base design" then? And why should the current ships be the "base"? Unless you mean...."the first ships ever created" = "the base"

But then...why are Liberty/GRN/Zoner/Order/etc. ships remoddeled (not imports), when they are fine as they were, as "base ships"? This way, I see no reason why the Brigand ships shouldn't be remoddeled.

Wait until some concepts are made, then we can talk about them fitting anywhere...

Just a suggestion, you want new ships, because those do not fit your (the LE's) view of the Brigands. While those ships still seem to be fine Brigand ships for a big part of this community.
So why dont you just ask for your own ships instead of trying to fix things that arent broken in any way?
I doubt that a few more ships would cause any issues with the mods size, you would have your ships and people that dont share your idea would still have the 'old' Brigand ones.
A 'legion of the Damned' Shipline would make a lot more sense then ruining the current Brigand shipline which is pretty cool in my eyes.

Since everyone and their moms are giving opinions in a thread that ain't for that, guess I'll pop in as well. Brigand line is not bad, woulnd't mind it changed either. Maybe would indeed be better to have a LE line instead. More variety.

Finally, before you say the current line is better, let's see what the new models look like. Also, ain't broken, don't fix it is lazy and dumb, imho. Can't wait to see some new models.

The LE simply want their own shipline to make the Brigands more like the LE.
A faction such as the LE asking for an entire shipline would most likely result in flames, so this was no doubt chosen as more sensible option.
I applaud your attempt at this but it is quite clear that the community are quite happy with the current Brigand ships.

If you want to make the Brigands more like the LE then do it.
One mod version is not enough.
