Hoodlum
:D
Thats understood and appreciated Hoodlum, although can I just get some confirmation that I am allowed to extort money as a Xeno terroist instead of PVP whoring my way throughout Liberty!
Demanding CARGO as a Xeno is a no-no, demanding money is necessary! I can only kill a trader who has refused to pay.. I have even asked fighters for money so I have an acceptable RP reason to fight.. This never stops ppl attacking me with no RP whatsoever, which I do not mind... But if I stop you as a Xeno and you break RP to tell me thats asking for money is not allowed, I WILL kill you.. It's happened to me before.
I'd just like to point out that if someone invests a large portion of their credits into their cargo (like a hold full of VIPs), and then you get blown up and LOSE all that cargo, your level is likely to go WAY down. So it's not really the cargo increasing your level, it's losing it that makes your level drop.
Just listen to yourselves. At level 30 you can maybe get a HF with class 6 guns, max. And with $100k spare if you're lucky. How is that supposed to stand up to some bully with Nomad blasters and cannonballs?
"Ah but its not against the rulez"
Oh well if it makes you feel better watching some player like a Hawk, then the second they tick over L.30, kicking their a**.... "IR1337PWNZ0R!!1!!!!!! :dry:
' Wrote:What you are missing is that as a Xeno I am unable to demand CARGO... Extortion is fair game and necessary, as I understand the rules at the moment I am unable to kill a trader UNLESS I give him the chance to pay... Pirating is not extortion and I am perfectly within my rights to say "your money or your life"
Am I mistaken admins?
Show me the ID that says "this ID allows you to extort money from others". As far as I know there isn't one. That means either everyone on the server is allowed to extort, or the bit about can/can't "demand cargo" is also talking about extorting cash.
How logical is it that an ID saying "cannot demand cargo" means "but you can demand money"? It's not at all. Not because demanding cash is illogical, but because prohibiting the demanding of cargo makes no sense whatsoever.
I think the belief that "can't demand cargo" means "can demand money" is rules-lawyering in a big way.
"To gain a hundred victories in a hundred battles is not the highest excellence;
to subjugate the enemy's army without doing battle is the highest of excellence."

If that is true then I should just kill the trader without giving him the opportunity to pay?
Thats seems like I am breaking the rules, only the terroist ID given out by the admins are able to do that!
I'm not trying to bend the rules in any way.. I'm trying to abide by them, which is why I asked an admin to clear this up for me.. I still think I should give a trader the opportunity to pay before I kill him. I have a pirate char and do this because I must.. If I should just kill the trader that suits me, won't suit the Trader much though :D
Still would'nt mind an admin telling me what is correct.. Should I give a trader an opportunity to pay? Or Should I just attack and kill them? I cna bring down a container transport in my eagle no problem and have done so a few times when they refused payment.. A few also got away :$
Its logical that not being able to demand cargo allows the ability to demand money because the server rules enforce this logic.
Personally, i think its bogus because the Xenos exist to be against trading other than internal liberty goods only within liberty. They exist because the need for money of the ones that originally put them out of work caused for their current position. So why then would getting money from the people that outcast them make it alright for those people to continue their day?
What i do know for sure is, the server rules override RP for balance and fair play. I have other ways of engagement to where i dont have to ask for money:D

No, really, there is no logic in forbidding the demanding of cargo but allowing the demanding of money. I mean, what bad thing is being prevented by such a strange restriction? Please quote the server rule that supports this idea.
"To gain a hundred victories in a hundred battles is not the highest excellence;
to subjugate the enemy's army without doing battle is the highest of excellence."
Quote: 7.11 Owners of Terrirst IDs have a right to attack:
- Trader ships that do not pay for passage
- Everyone else
Quote:7.13 Pirates and terrorists have a right to deal as much damage as they see fit before or after demanding money from a trader ship, but killing trader ship before demanding money is not allowed. Attacking traders or demanding cargo is not allowed for cruisers and battleships, unless cruisers and battleship belong to Terrorist ID or Phantom ID owner.
Thats the ruling.
Its to prevent PVP whoring, and I support that effort. Unfortunately, RP has to take one for the team.
