There is a strong practical side to the liners, which if we jack thier current prices and move them to new selling locations most of these problems will go away. I am happy with my liner as it stands.
Of course we can nerf them and make them only good for floating around NY.
Any of the above was just discarded because you all know I own 3 and have a faction with 3 others in it, and you all know that if this kind of change is made the liners will have nothing to keep them on the top of the food chain in some way. As such I will need to shell out 300 million to replace the entire SU fleet, in addition to remaking my entire factions command structure.
Why is everyone so angry about Liners having large holds? They outsize all other trade ships in the physical sense, yes they have strong armour so that does constitute a good reason for a price hike. Just leave the darn things alone. Before people would complain Liners being able to beat them in combat, now they complain about them being comparable to trains as trade vessels. Why must liners be made useless? Don't punish those of us who had good RP behind owning them just because some other fools are using them for hauling Niobium.
