Were is all this battleship whoreing happening? I have not been on the server long but in 6 weeks of playing here I have yet to fight a battleship.

here on discovery. you want to see cap whoring by freelancers? head to magellan for the next 2-3 days and im sure you will spot 4 lane hacker spyglass'. i did. and i destroyed all 4 of them today, in something thats 10 times smaller in size. ( yes im showing off:P)

A battleship with gunboat support. Battleships do not need fighter support. They need gunboat support in my opinion.

a battleship with gb support or fighter support. hmm lemme see.. a fighter squadron can obliterate a gunboat, and a gb squad can take on a bs. so, i think sticking with a fighter squad is better, since it sticks close to RP (which is the main concern. remember people, this is a RP server/forum). or even better, having a mixed bomber/fighter squad.

With the new limitation on Capships and most factions having limitations of their own it is not possible at the moment for me to join one with my Osiris. the new limitation on capships is helping, slow down purchase of battleships, not cutting down their purchase. new people who trade all day and night for a week, with nothing else to do tend to always head for the shipyard selling the biggest most 'scariest' battleship they can get. its just the general mentality of such new players that the bs are the best ships ingame. sorry to say, they aint :dry:

ive seen this happening, so im mentioning it. since some people in some factions get denied a cap ship due to rank etc.. they tend to end up buying a battleship on a fl character, which is same ided' and tagged, and they spend more time on that char helping the factions instead of their real clan characters. and at the moment, the most favourite cap ship of everyone is the liberty assualt battlecruiser. (personally, i think that anything bigger than a cruiser needs a cap license, but meh).

My solution to player groups who are having a problem with others in CapShips..get some capships. Dock em at your homeworld. If some overwhelming force is headed your way..get your capships out.

to this, id like to say: not everyone likes to fly a god-damned cap ship (sorry, im a bit anti cap ships atm) so thats why they dont buy them.

and also, suppose a fl bs fleet was headed to their enemy, who are an actual faction here. the faction has 1-2 bs while their enemies have 3-4 of them. they cant get out more than they have, since their own restrictions prevent more cap ships. what to do in a situation like that, except use the chars availiable at hand, even if its a light fighter?

and your last line in that quote.. im not sure, but are you trying to say, break the rules of re-engaging with a diff character? it seems like that to me..

If your playerfaction is maxed on allowed capships, make an independent character and make him a capship captain. You do not need to be TBH or any other player corsair group to be a corsair battleship captain. Same for everyone else be a plain old Outcast BS captain. Or BH BS captain..or whatever.

right. this is what we are trying to cut down. the number of cap ships springing up all over sirius! it really needs to stop! by saying such things, not only are you promoting cap spamming, your not seeing the problem. if your in the TBH, and u got outcasts headed at you, YOU USE YOUR TBH CHARACTER FIRST. why? CUZ URE IN THE BLOOMING TBH THATS WHY!! :angry:

being a bs captain isnt wrong. im not saying its wrong. all im saying is the NUMBER of capships springing up on the server everyday is wrong. i mean cmon. explain to my why the RM would sell its best cap ship, the RH bs to some freelancing RH police-man, who has wrong identification papers (i mean wrong tag, such as the liberty navy) and start policing sectors of sirius where he shouldnt be in the first place?

so, here ends my rant about battleships, i wont argue anymore, and to summarize it all, i say yes to limiting the number of cap ships, as well as adding that cap ships bigger than a cruiser (including the cruiser) need to have licenses of their own.

i rest my case:P
