Everything that happens in Sol is separate from what happens in Sirius. Nomads in Sirius were still in a popsicle while Nomads in Sol were awake and active. No one knows what happened to Atticus Rockford. I personally think he was hushed up by the authorities to prevent a panic in the surviving population in Sirius. The Nomads probably didn't follow him because they didn't care about what happened if one person went off into deep space. There's enough evidence in the developers' documents to indicate that the Nomads were only interested in protecting their area of space just outside of Sol. DK did not play with Earth, they had already disappeared from the known universe.

And DK only randomly dissapeared, they didn't go extinct, they could just have returned when the sleeper ships went to Sirius, as far I know, they had an empire spaning several sectors, the only place we found about them is Sirius, NOT the rest of the galaxy, but they left the nomads in Sirius to watch how they played around, then humans got there, they could have traced and found Earth, cause a flush with the Sun to blow up everything except the park (Earth) and then they played with it at the same time they watched nomads fraking with the Sirians.
