Well I've been using the Lane Hacker Tag and smuggler ID combination as I thought that was the whole point behind it.

I would think that means anyone with a lawful tag cant dock on pirate bases either then and therefore with that and the profits now available smuggling is now a lot less attractive than normal trading better profits and no cruisers or battleships attacking you.

Maybe I'll look into the junker tag after thinking about it guess it's either that or pick a legal faction.
