Interesting. but no...again just upgrades....
Why not to make it to something like this?:

Power Adaptor mk1
Cost: 125,000,000 Credits
Cargo: 15
Max capcacity: +10%
regeneration: -5%

Power Adaptor mk2
Cost: 125,000,000 Credits
Cargo: 15
Max capcacity: -5%
regeneration: +10%

etc....

It wouldn't change much for fighters in this case, or transports.
