wouldn t say they are noblemen - gaians descent from scientists that were unhappy with the way the resources were dealt with, especially gaia of course. so they originate from rather academic people - but "nowadays" they are often petty criminals, too, that use the cause of gaians for to make their piracy look better.

of course there s still the determined gaian out there ( usually the player chars ) - but gaians are quite poorly supported - so they have to pirate for their living, they have allies that don t care too much for them ( corsairs wouldn t even give them ships ) - but the kusari are their hope right now. regarding to rumor, they have a good relationship to the kusari way - and tend to "assist" the kusari as in ways possible to them.
