Stupid screen!

We had a damaged LCD here recently. It was hit by high voltage, I think during a storm or what... Luckily, only the power source had some problems (the only part you can really repair yourself). 2 transistors were damaged, causing short circuit and extreme heating on one half of the light tubes(the monitor was shining white even if turned off..). We had to get new ones... Then a signal cable from the logical board to the LCD had to be fixed, because the screen had very strange colors, after some pressure on the connector the LCD is ok now, but I am afraid it is not your problem, blunt.:(
