In the current version of the mod Police ID holders are able to fly cruisers and battleships; in my opinion, they should only be allowed to fly gunboats and lower as you don't see police driving tanks in real life. I have made this topic to see what the community thinks, and if the general consensus is that they shouldn't be flying cruisers and battleships, I hope that the IDs will be changed in the next version of the mod.
