"...It was lovely seeing you again, Kyle. We can see about that deal later on."
Again Kyle could barely mask his surprise when Susan kissed him and rested on his side, he had been raised with a military-level discipline and had been taught to give people their room, it was why he had never involved himself in a relationship and had never experienced such emotions. And to top it off Susan had been her best friend and now in the military as his superior officer.
He managed to just smile as Susan tried to make her way down the hall, barely. He spotted a marine that was making his way down from the crossing hallway, Kyle stepped up in front of him.
"Marine." "Sir."
Even though Kyle was not in uniform, he spoke with a clear and confident authority -mostly picked up from his father- which the Marine immediately responded to. He looked at the Marine's name tag, "Pvt. D. Carlson". Kyle looked back towards Susan who still hadn't made it to the end of the hall and gestured towards her.
"Private, make sure the Flight Officer gets back to her room without incident." "Yes sir."
Kyle nodded and the Marine saluted again and went after Susan, Kyle saw him help her up and then turned his head to the direction of the warrant officer bunks and started to make off when he suddenly remembered the drinks. He almost ran back to the bar and then stopped himself, moving slowly back inside and went to the counter. The bartender was still there, and looked at him in a knowing way.
"Heh, almost forgot." "Not a problem."
The bartender punched a number into the holopad to his side and Kyle swiped his credit card, paying the bill. He then nodded at the Bartender and started to walk off, in search of the warrant officer's bunks.
