I prefer adding a name while flying a ship not named after a person. However, one of the issues is that people assume that because you wrote it out, they now know your name. As in, if [LN]-LNS-Anchorage goes "Baker: Yadda yadda.", people then go "Hey Baker, how are you doing?". That's a bit awkward. It's not like you're saying the word "Baker" out loud, or something.

Just throwing that out there.

Oh, and yeah. Number one gets my vote. Number two is more than acceptable. Number three is the one I expect to start spamming torpedoes at my Arrow on sight after uttering the word "engaging". Call it prejudice.
